True Destiny; If life is a Journey, Why Go it Alone?

A wonderful Friday morning here in my home state of Maine. Looks as though we are going to have another outstanding weekend weather wise, and that always puts a smile on my face and many miles on my motorcycle.

To say that life has been challenging the last few months is an understatement of monumental proportion. I have had many hurdles to overcome in my life, but none like the one's I've recently experienced. I won't bore you with the details, but even the most positive person would have taken a step back and wondered what was going on, if they had been in my shoes. But one thing I have learned over the last few days is that we all need people around us who can speak life, truth, and comfort to us when we are in these dark places. I can not state clearly enough the importance of having these very special people around us. Trust me when I tell you that friends, family and loved ones, is the glue that binds all things together. I've tried walking things alone and I learned one important lesson; it sucks. Blunt I know, but it needed to be said. If one thinks that they can continue down a lonely path with no help from the outside then they are either dead already or dumber than a fence post. We were not created to do things alone and without the help of others. I dare say that Giants in the Business Industry, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, had some help along the way. Even today they have thousands of people who help them daily. So if getting help from others is good enough for Mr Gates and Buffet, then it surely is good enough for me.

As I take a few steps back to reflect on what I want to do, when I want to do it, and how I want to do it, I am very mindful that I can not do it alone. Not that I don't have the ability, well come to think of it, I don't have the ability, LOL. But as I take the beginning steps of putting together my team, I am very mindful of those who have been there in the past and very much want them with me in the future. I often say why re-invent the wheel. If you have someone who has been helpful, has said they would help again, then why not let them help? You'd have to be an idiot to walk away from them, although there are plenty of idiots out there just not able to figure this out. Just do me one favor, when someone goes out of their way to help you out, give credit where credit is due. Don't take all the fame and glory for yourself simply because you own the company or run it. You didn't make without the help of a lot of people and they deserve most of the credit.

I think it's time we in this country begin to remember what made us great. It's not the products we sell, or manufacture. It's not the services we provide or offer. It's not even the great financial or industrial powerhouse we have become. Quite simply it is the everyday workers who have made us great. The workers who are there at 6 in the morning opening up the factories, or the workers who are working at 2 in the morning to keep the factories open and running. It is the janitor who is cleaning up the offices and break rooms late into the night hours. It is all those people who have given of themselves for a simple thing called a paycheck. These are the people that made this country great. It's time that we realize this and as owners take less credit for what we do and give it to the people who really keep us a float. I am so tired of the greedy company owners who don't give a Rat's Ass about anything but the bottom line. We need to have a revolution in regards to what is important in our working world. I for one am tired of the status quo and looking for new ways of doing things. People Don"t work for me, they work with me. I have said for so many years, if you work for a company you are simply working for a paycheck. However, if you are working with me, you are working for my vision and that makes all the difference in the world. So who is with me? Who wants to change the world one company at a time. I know the workers in these companies will be forever grateful that I showed up at the front door. Life is too short to be taken advantage of by stupid company presidents and owners who haven't a clue to what goes on from day to day but the everyday workers. It is time to make changes, and make changes is just what I am about to do. Join with me and together we will change the face of this Nation, for the better. Now think about that..........
