Everyone is talking about this "Once in a lifetime" event.  Will you be outside today observing the sun and moon dance about?  It's kind of funny that today marks the end of my summer long sabbatical.  I always take a few months off in the summer just to relax, rejuvenate, and to simply take a break.  So I begin my next nine month journey with this heavenly sign.  To those who are spiritually minded I'm sure you are feeling the excitement that this solar event is going to bring about.  I've been listening and reading numerous postings on social media about the eclipse.  I would be a liar if I did not admit that I am looking forward to what is being ushered in from the universe.  To those who are willing to listen and pick up on what is taking place, I will bet you also have an anticipation of what is coming down the pike.

Events like today's have been going on since the beginning of time. However, if this is the first time you have seen a total eclipse, and for many I'm sure it is, then I am very sure that there is some anticipation on your part as to what the whole thing means in regards to the Universe, your mission in life, and things that will be set in place because of this miracle.   Here's how I see today's events:  it's a launching pad for things that you have been waiting for.  I believe it will bring freshness to those who need it, and to those who are looking for a breakout, then this is the time to expect such a breakout.

I've spent the last three months taking an inventory of the things I want to do, the things I want to try for the first time, and those things that I want to get rid of, that no longer serve me.  I've learned a lot over the the last One Hundred or so days, and one of the big things that I have taken away from my time of reflection is that we all need a launching pad of sorts from time to time.  There are few things in life that have assurances.  Sure we can always talk about death and taxes, but in all seriousness, there are only a few things that can be guaranteed. Once such thing is the assurance that you have a destiny.  Now whether you ever open up to your destiny is something only you can answer.  I've spent years crying out to almost anyone who would listen to me, asking what am I supposed to do, who am I supposed to be, and why in god's name was I born when I was born.  The freedom that comes to you when you finally accept your destiny and begin to walk in it is beyond what you can imagine.  Certainly there will be days when you question things, but having an inner peace that you are where you need to be, when you need to be there is priceless.

I've talked to very few people who are not expecting great things to happen or should I say begin to happen.  Today's eclipse is nothing more then a reminder that the Universe is in charge of everything. When you think about all the things that could happen as a result of this cosmic event, those who have eyes to see, ears to hear, will be in a position to make huge leaps toward their destiny.  Will you be one of those who takes on the challenge, or will you simply watch the sun's dance and think about other things?

Here's what I recommend you do today.  Spend sometime in quiet meditation before the eclipse begins.  When it begins simply open up your spiritual eyes and ears and expect messages and insight to come to you.  If you will set the intention that things are going to break for you, then the universe will make sure that things do in deed break open for you.  You might be waiting for the perfect job, the perfect home, or maybe just maybe all you want is to have that inner peace that shows you all is right with the world and you are exactly where you need to be.  No matter what your needs or wants are, today is the day to expect things to happen.

I was actually going to start writing this blog again next week, but I've been asked to present my book at the Decatur Book Fair in Atlanta, so I will be flying back on Monday.  Since I could not write on Monday I thought I might as well write today, and look what the Universe dropped in my lap, but a great opportunity to set the expectations for each of you of what this solar event can mean to you.  Now there will be those who see nothing from today's happenings.  These are the very same people who walk around day in and day out wondering why the world has passed them by.  Don't be one of those who simply let's things happen and never set the intention of getting what is rightfully yours.  Today is a golden opportunity to start fresh.  Today is the perfect day to say to those around you that you are here for a reason and you will be the person you were intended to be.  Today is your opportunity to grab the bull by the horns and never let go.

I can only say that it feels good to get back to the computer and doing what I love most, and that's writing.  I am so blessed to be able to do what I love, and my wish for you is that today's events will launch you into those possibilities of doing what you love, being who you were meant to be, and changing the world for the better.  Everyone wants to be someone, even if they are not willing to admit it.  Greatness comes to those who have the heart to reach out and accept greatness.  It is time to see what the universe has in store for you, and once you discover the greatness, I promise you, you'll never want to be without it again.  Protect your eyes today, and watch a show that is sure to impress.  Blessings and light to each of you.
