If you want to truly be happy, then be happy with who you are. If you want to experience all that life has to offer you, then grab hold of those things that define you. It's not how others see you that makes the difference, it's how you see yourself. Certainly there will be times when things don't always go as planned, but that should not define you. There will be times when things turn out better then you could have ever hoped for: these are the moments that you need to hold on to and remind yourself that these things happened for a reason.
In my world, the sweetest sound of all is the sound of someone who says screw the establishment and let me do what I was sent here to do, in the manner that was meant to be, and with the knowledge that what is happening was intended to happen from the beginning of time. Far too many people have allowed others to dictate what they do, and who they are. When one succumbs to the conditioning of man there is never going to be a symphony of sweetness that comes from you. You cannot adhere to the edicts of man and expect things to happen the way they were intended to happen. If you are looking for others to design your existence then you have no one to blame but yourself when you are left wondering where all the joy and happiness have gone in your life.
If one believes in a Supreme Being, a God, Spirit, or Source, then you would also have to believe that you have a purpose for being here. Now this purpose may take years to discover, but I assure you that your being here right now was intended to be, and there are things that only you can do. The one thing that will bring you true happiness and joy is accepting your destiny, walking in your destiny, and more then anything owing it. Everyone has a destiny. Young, old, male, female, destiny is what you were put here for. When we allow others to alter, divide, or ridicule our birth right, then you have given up the one thing that should be at the core of your being. I've seen people walk away from the one thing that was meant for them, and I can tell you they are anything but joyful and happy.
When did it become unpopular to be the crazy, funny, often off-beat person you were created to be? I see people who will admit that they have to fit the corporate mold, that they must do this thing in order to get that thing. I've seen people spin around and completely be someone they're not, simply to take another step up the job ladder. Let me ask you this: is reaching the top of the career ladder so important that you are willing to give up on those things that you were placed here to do, and change who you fundamentally are, simply to take another step? You may very well get to where you think you want to be, but I will tell you that it will only take a small amount of time to realize that what you gave up was far more valuable then what you may have gained by reaching the top.
We are in a day where the vast majority of people out in the work force hate what they are doing. They remain where they are located because many are afraid to leave, and that fear is based largely on the conditioning of man. There are bills to pay, tuition to consider, the list goes on and on. What a travesty to be imprisoned in an occupation that brings no joy, no happiness, but thank goodness it does pay the bills. I've been there, and if I can help just one person get out of that trap, well then, I have done what I was created to do.
The you that was created was put here for a reason. The personality you have was given to you for a reason. The dreams and desires you have, you have for a reason. If you want to make me happy begin with believing these things. Why in god's name would you want to stick with doing something that in no way brings you contentment and peace, joy and happiness, or fulfillment and excitement? The day is fast approaching where you are going to have to make a decision. This decision is going to mean the difference between a life full of sweet sounds, or a life that knows nothing but regret, remorse, or rejection. The real you, the unique you is just waiting to come on stage and show the rest of the world how it's done. The real you is chomping at the bit to get out of the starting gate and show the rest of civilization just how grand life can be, if you let it. My question to you is what are you waiting for?
The sweetest sound of all is when I see people who have taken their rightful place, are doing what they were created to do, and then sharing it with those around them. This is music to my ears, and it makes me smile all day long. Don't run from your destiny. Don't allow man to dictate your actions. Resist the temptation to do it because it's always been done that way. Trust me, the individual in you needs to come out, it wants to come out, and the sooner that it does, the better off all of us will be. Let your personal symphony play out, let others hear it, and watch as the notes of beauty, of peace, and of contentment fill the air for you and for everyone else.
