2019, A year to Remember

http://www.flickr.com/photos/160866001@N07/31427307757
It's almost unfathomable how fast 2018 went by.  It seems as though we blinked and it was gone.  Will 2019 follow suit?  Will the upcoming year bring you the desires of your heart?  Will you look back on 2018 and under your breath let out a sigh of relief that it is finally over?  No matter what 2018 ended like, and no matter what 2019 has in store for you, it's time to sit back,  give some thought to what happened or didn't happen last year, and think about what you're hoping to happen in the upcoming year.

The New Year brings with it New Hope.  As I always say there is no need to live in the past, since what has already transpired can never be changed.  We live with our actions, we live with our triumphs and failures, and we live with the lessons we learned over the last twelve months.  What we take into the New Year is an awareness of all the things we want, those things we no longer need or want, and we take with us hope.  Hope for better tomorrows.  Hope for our hearts desires.  Hope for those around us who are in need of direction.  We have hope, because hope is what gets us moving each and every day.  Hope is what tells us that things will be better and that history is a teacher, but by no means is it something that has to repeat itself.

Here's where many people make a mistake when it comes to ringing in the New Year.  There are those who feel that all will be new and that simply by the clock hitting midnight that all that was is no longer.  Sadly this is not so.  If you have been carrying worry and stress around with you most of the previous year, it's a pretty sure bet that you will be carrying it with you into and through most of the next year.  If you want to remove that worry and stress, then change your mindset.  If you want to remove that worry and stress, then start by accepting what you are.  If you desire to free yourself from all the worry and stress then recognize your true greatness.  There is no need to repeat all that went on the previous year, especially if all you want to do is run away from what happened to you in 2018.  Yes we need to learn from all those things we went through, but we don't have to carry the burdens any longer, and we certainly don't have to repeat them.

Most everyone I know looks toward the New Year and has a hope.  Most people I know have already begun to put together thoughts about what the New Year will be like, and what they want to achieve during the next 12 months.  Most people I know are quite ready to end this past year and move ahead to something completely different.  It doesn't matter what others want, what really matters is what do you want?  Do you want a repeat of the last year?  If yes, well then just continue on your merry way and you're pretty much assured to have what you had before.  If however you are looking for a change, well then it's time that you allowed change to come into your life.  We often don't change because we don't want to.  Change is good.  Change is fun.  Change is something that in reality we really don't have much say over.

I want to say something about worthiness.  Many have been sold a bill of goods when it comes to understanding our own worth.  There are so many idiots out there who want nothing more then to tear someone down.  There are other idiots out there who want nothing more then to make you feel like you have nothing to offer anyone.  Sadly you can't fix stupid, and to those who say these stupid things, you probably will not be able to change them.  You are as worthy as anyone around you.  There is no measuring stick when it comes to worthiness.  By virtue of your mere existence you have been given unending power to create.  After all, and I've said this many, many, many times in the past, you were created to create.  The only reason you have failed to obtain all of your dreams and desires is because some idiot has told you that it's not possible.  Once again, stupid is as stupid does.  My hope for 2019 is that everyone could grasp the significance of their true essence and being.  My dreams for 2019 are that countless will discover their True Destiny and finally take possession of what has always been rightfully theirs.

As we enter this next year why not throw caution to the wind and just do something different.   Stretch yourself and do something that might be totally unexpected.  Being cautious is not a bad thing, but being overly cautious to the point of standing still is simply stupid.  I know this may sound harsh to some, but sometimes everyone needs a kick in the ass every now and again, present company included.  There are so many things that I still want to accomplish and I,just like so many others, have been afraid to step out into my new reality.  In this case it really is like "physician heal thyself."  If I can step out into new and different things, then you can also step out and do something new.  Everyone always tells you not to put the cart in front of the horse.  Why is that?  Isn't the action of simply moving the cart movement on your part?  Any movement is better then no movement, and sooner or later the horse will take its rightful place.  Until such time, continue to move, it's never going to hurt you.

As we enter 2019 I am confident that many of you will get the answers you have been looking for because you have opened yourselves up to hearing them.  You see, desire is the first step in getting what you truly want.  Without desire, there is no direction, and without direction there can be no real movement.  I know this year will be life changing to many.  Yes cliche, but even something cliche has merit.  Hold fast to dreams, never let go of your truth, and for goodness sake, don't fail to walk through doors that have been opened for you.  Happy New Year to each of you and continue to walk in love and light.

It's beginning to look a lot like...

If you're like me then you're probably running round like crazy trying to get everything done and maybe, just maybe find a few minutes to simply put your feet up and take a quick nap.  Tis the season, and with this season can come some great times and regrettably some not so great times.  It is during the not so great times that I want you to think about a few things, and then you just might find the real meaning of the season.

We have placed so much emphasis on certain aspects of the Holiday Season, that many have forgotten what is most important during this time of year. There are ample movies out today depicting what the perfect Christmas is supposed to look like.  Sadly, there are far too many people who will never experience this type of holiday and there is a myriad of reasons why.  In my own way I am going to try and cut through all the garbage that is out there and simply provide you my idea of the perfect holiday and let you take it from there.

Now the first thing that most people think about during the Christmas Holiday is family.  How great it is to spend time with said family and how great it will be when everyone gets together.  What if you don't have family around you or the ability to get with family?  Well that definitely can put a damper on the good ole Christmas Spirit.  The next thing most people think about are the presents and all the pageantry that comes with this perfect holiday.  Well what if you can't afford the presents and what if there is no way you can provide that pageantry to those around you?  Once again it looks like this holiday is going to be another downer, doesn't it?  Maybe as a society we have focused on the wrong thing, and since it has been happening for so many years, that focus has become common place.  Just because it has been that way, doesn't mean it has to stay the way.  Maybe you can take a stance and get back to the real meaning of this holiday season.  I guess if one is to get back to the real meaning, then one would have to know the real meaning.

So here you go, the real meaning:  It's all about me, myself, and I.  OMG, how in God's name can anyone take a stance that this holiday is all about me, myself and I.  Well let me tell you why I say that:  because it has to start with me, myself, and I.  If you are unable to love yourself, know who and what you are, and why you are here, all the pomp and pageantry of this season is going to be a mute point anyway.  If you don't recognize your importance to the universe then all you are going to do is fall prey to the rest of those who only think about the presents and pageantry.  Now let me say this, I love giving presents, and there are times when I love to get presents, but the trading of objects is never going to elevate you to the point of self-realization.  When you are able to recognize your own true greatness, then and only then will you be able to enter into the holiday season full and complete. The most expensive gifts on the planet are never going to get you to the point of where you fulfill your destiny.  Spending hour after hour in the lines at the store, or in your attic trying to wrap gifts is never going to get you to your destiny.  Knowing who you are however, is a great first step in discovering your destiny.

When you are able to focus on me, myself, and I, then and only then, will you be able to focus on others.  The greatest gift you can give yourself this year is the gift of self-actualization.  Knowing and walking in what makes you you. You are a gift.  You are amazing.  You are the best part of Christmas.  Now if all this makes you squirm or feel unworthy, then you've got to get with the program and start seeing your self as a gift and as amazing.  There's a huge difference between arrogant and amazing.  I don't care for arrogance, but do I love amazing.  If you truly see yourself as amazing and as a gift, then arrogance will never come into play.  Arrogance is only there from people who have measured themselves by what they have.  Being truly amazing is seeing what you can give to others.  Now can you see the difference?

This Christmas I want you to see yourself as the Greatest Gift.  When you can give from your true essence, then you have given the very best.  It's kind of like giving a Hallmark Card, LOL.  It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas because you have begun to look like the real you.  It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas because you have given from the real you.  It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas because you have finally seen the light, and you my good friend are indeed a bring shinny light.  As you step out into the things that are yours, have always been yours, and will always be yours, step out with confidence and step out with excitement.  This holiday season can be a turning point, that moment in time when me, myself, and I finally stepped out into the world, a world that dearly needs what you have to share.

Have a very Merry Christmas and share the best part of you with others.  You just might change the world.

All I want for Christmas is...

http://www.flickr.com/photos/14111752@N07/15905912048
It's that very special time of year where we begin to think about all that has been, all that can be, and what we want most out of life.  Many are running about trying to get everything done in a timely basis, so that they can have the perfect Christmas.  I guess that would lead one to ask, what is the perfect Christmas?  We have changed over the years, and what was once very important to some is less important today.  As kids all we wanted was to look at that huge Sears catalog and circle all the toys we could dream about.  As we grew older we began to think about other things and suddenly it began to be more about giving then receiving.  Don't be fooled, it's still nice to get that special gift, from that special person, reflecting the special relationship that you have with them.

I have found that it is getting harder and harder to come up with ideas about what I want for Christmas when asked by dear friends and family members.  I am so blessed and quite frankly have pretty much everything I need, and want.  I find myself very, very content with my circumstances, and for that I am very, very grateful.  As corny as it might sound the one thing I really desire this Christmas is that those closest to me find what they are looking for.  I love nothing more then someone who suddenly finds themselves smack dab in the middle of their biggest dream and they can finally say they are doing what they have always wanted to do.

Sadly there are many out there who look upon this season as a time of loneliness and simply want to get past it as quickly as possible.  It is to those individuals that I really want to reach out to today, and in my own way, give you hope.  Hope for tomorrow, hope for a new way of seeing things, and hope for the dream that never seems to be reachable.  I know what it's like to want to quit and give up.  I have been faced with more adversity in life then I would ever wish upon anyone.  When friends of the past said that life would be difficult I doubt even they could imagine how prophetic their words would become.  I've had struggles, and I've had times when all I wanted to do was give up and not wake up the next morning.  I know the depths of despair, and without taking away from what you may be going through, there is a way out of this torment.

Everything in life is a series of lessons.  Some of us will be fortunate and pick up on the lesson the first time around, while others will have to go round the barn once or twice.  Even in the worst of times there is joy that can be found, and in that joy you are able to bring more joy to your life.  Remember love begets love, light begets light, and joy will be followed up with more joy.  The only thing you have to do is prime the pump and then let the joy flow back to you.  I know there are times when joy is absent from many people's lives, but that's only because they have forgotten that even in the worst of times they are learning and learning is never wasted.  The joy is that you learned what you shouldn't do.  The joy is that you are still standing, even after a major set-back.  The joy is that you have a chance to try something new.  We only fail when we give up.

My Christmas wish is that everyone recognize the greatness within.  My Christmas wish is that every individual become so aware of their true essence.  My Christmas wish is that you begin to walk in those things that you were always intended to walk in.  Think about having all your desires.  The perfect job, the perfect house, the perfect significant other.  When you dream about these things and you begin to imagine what life would be like with them in your life, does that bring a smile to your face?  If thinking about all that is possible brings a smile out in you, then why in the world would you not continue to think about those things.  Trust me, the Law of Attraction is real, it works, and it is just as much for you as it is for anyone else.

All I want for Christmas is to continue to have the opportunity to talk with others about possibilities.  All I want for Christmas is to impact the lives of others in a way that encourages them to reach for the stars and never look back on those things that seemed to get in their way.  All I want for Christmas is the time to continue on my journey of discovery.  I am so blessed that I get to do what I love, and what I want you to have is what you love most.  Christmas is not so much about gifts as much as it is about giftings.  You have talents locked inside of you that are just waiting to be released.  You have been designed with perfection in mind and the sooner you realize this the sooner the giftings you have inside can be set loose for others to benefit from.  Whether you realize it or not, you are so much  more then you give yourself credit for.  We were created to create.  We were never put here on this planet just to simply survive life.  There is so much more to living then just getting through the next twenty-four hours.  This Christmas let your personal wish be that you step out into those things that will truly make you happy and fulfilled.  This Christmas let your wish take you to new places, with new experiences, both of which will teach you who and what you are.

This can truly be a new beginning for each of us if we will let the past go, look toward the future, and realize that you are an amazing creation, whose sole purpose is to be what you were created to be.  Think about that, and smile, because what is coming soon is going to be phenomenal.

On the road again....

Let's be honest, when you saw the title to today's blog, I bet all you could hear was Willie Nelson singing, with that voice that is so incredibly recognizable, but I digress.  Anyway, today I want to simply encourage you.  There are days when everyone needs a little encouragement, present company included.  Encouragement comes in many forms, and it comes at many different times in our life, sometimes when we need it and sometimes when we least expect it.  I think we could all agree that encouragement is both needed, wanted, and if for no other reason, encouragement is simply put, encouraging.

If you have recently been through a time, maybe I can offer you a bit of encouragement that just might turn your day around, and because your day is turned around, maybe just maybe you will turn the corner on whatever it is you are trying to accomplish.  There's an old saying that Rome was not built in a day.  Very few things, at least things worth having, come to us overnight or without the need for a little sweat equity.  Now there are times when we get so involved with things that we begin to wonder is it all worth it, or will I ever get to the finish line.  Trust me when I tell you that there have been numerous times when I have questioned my motives, my desires, and my apparent lack of direction when it comes to fulfilling something.  It wasn't that I didn't have the desire to do something, what I lacked was the feeling that everything was going to work out fine.  What I needed was a little encouragement, and that encouragement would have meant the world to me.  So today I want to offer you encouragement and in doing so release from you any expectation that things are not going to work out, or that you will never get to the end.

I'd like you to think back on some of the dreams you may have had, or in some cases dreams that are at the forefront of your mind right now.  First off, dreams have always been and will always be stepping stones to your destiny.  We dream because we have desires in life.  Those desires are there because you are supposed to walk in them.  The only reason we give up on our dreams is because we lack the encouragement to continue on the journey.  I know all too well what it's like to give up on something.  Funny thing about dreams, they never go away.  You might try to bury them for a while, but they will return and then they will be right back to the forefront of your mind.  We can't give up on our dreams because our dreams will never give up on us.  The Creator of the Universe has placed these dreams in us for a reason, and the sooner you can accept this fact the sooner you can accept what is, and what has always been yours to have.

As we try to navigate things in our life we often find ourselves separated from the one thing we desire most.  It is in this separation that we could really use some encouragement, and this encouragement is nothing more then a reminder of who you are, what you are, and most importantly why you are here.  Whenever I get in a mind funk I simply step back and remember that I was created to create and that I have all that I need to be what I want to be, what I need to be, and what I was sent here to be.  Sometimes the little prodding we get from others is all we need to turn that corner and have it all.

There was a time where my motivation was to make as much money as humanly possible.  I needed stuff, because quite frankly that was how I identified myself.  The nicer or more expensive things I had the better I felt about myself.  Sadly there was a time when I lost it all, and then I had no idea who I was.  It was during this time that I was able to see the real me.  I realized that most of the people I knew didn't know the real me.  It was a bitter pill to swallow when I realized that I had been trying to fool others and fool myself into thinking one thing, while I knew something completely different at a much deeper level then I had ever let myself go before.  I know there are people out there who have similar struggles and let me tell you that you can come out of it the victor, if you want to that is.

Traveling down the road to your destiny is quite frankly the best thing in life.  When you begin your journey there may be slight trepidation,  but that is so, so normal.  You are on, and have always been on the right road to your destiny.  Certainly there have been times when you questioned things, but there have also been times of absolute clarity.  My encouragement to you today is to simply be in the moment and open yourself up to those thoughts and feelings that have been flying around you that you have tried to bury.  We run from things we don't understand or don't want to face, but that is never going to end well, at least not for you.  You see, you can't run from your destiny forever, and to be honest I see no reason why you should want to run from it.  Stepping out into your destiny is the most freeing thing in the world.  Being you, the real you, is what the world needs, and as you step out into those things for you, life seems to change in an instant.  All the cares, all the worries, all the doubt, for some unknown reason simply falls away.  You see clearer then ever before, and low and behold something magical happens, happiness returns in full measure and life becomes that journey of discovery that everyone should desire.

You are about to turn the corner; do you fear what might be around it, or do you freely open yourself up to the possibilities?  Life is such a great thing, and once you can accept the importance of your life, the greatness of your being, and the significance of what you were sent here to accomplish, the your life as you know it will change forever.  Be encouraged my good friends, and always know that you are not here by mistake, you are here by design.
