One never knows what is just around the corner.

As each of us go through life it is understandable not to have all the answers, not to know what to do when something unexpected happens, and of course not knowing what may lie just around the next corner.  To some the not knowing brings excitement, while others can't begin to describe the stress that comes from uncertainty or just not knowing what to expect.

We often hear that hindsight is twenty/twenty.  That's easy to say when the dust has finally settled, but what does one do when you are just at the brink, the beginning?  What happens when you don't have a clue what to do next, where to go, or even when the doubts come concerning your destiny?  These of course are all good questions, and if you asked a thousand people how they would handle it, you would get a thousand different answers.  I wish I could tell you specifics on what to do, but just like you, I don't know what is around the corner so I have learned to roll with the punches, and do the best I can do.  That may not be what you want to hear, but at least it is honest, and lets be frank here, there are many times in life when those we depend on for guidance have not been honest in what they tell us, and that can only lead to misplaced trust, and a whole lot of hurt.

It really is OK not to know what is around each corner.  The problem comes into play when you let doubt or uncertainty stop you from even poking your head out for fear it will get shot off, or you may see something that you would rather not see.  What I really want you to see today is a simple truth, but it is a truth that has evaded many people.  Much of the uncertainty that people face is caused by the fact that individuals are not aware of the ability they have to manifest into their life those things they desire.  This inability to understand this truth stems from the fact that most people, and I mean most, do not understand their place in the Cosmos.  Who they are, and what they are is based on other's opinions of them, and not on a knowing, a personal knowing, of the divinity that is inside each of us.  Until such time as you can understand the greatness of your design you will always be subject to the fear, doubt, and uncertainty of what is just around the corner.

I wish I had the ability to hit a switch and poof, you are enlightened to the majesty that is you.  Trust me, if I had this ability I would wield it with everything in me.  The ability I do have is to share with you my insight in the hopes that you will continue on with the search, and you will discover just how incredibly powerful you are.  It has taken me years to get to this point in my life, but I am so thankful that I have learned what I have learned, and now I choose to share it with others.

Around each corner is opportunity.  Around the corners are possibilities.  Around each corner is an adventure that was designed specifically for you.  These adventures are there to do one thing and one thing only: get you to understand your destiny, your purpose for being here.  If you are constantly afraid to put yourself out there, then you will never fulfill your destiny.  If every little set back in life stops you from poking your head out to look around the next corner, then you will have effectively stopped yourself from ever walking in your destiny.  If fear of the unknown is something that brings you discomfort, then try walking away from your destiny and see how uncomfortable life will become for you.  Pardon my french, but it is high time you get off your ass and start doing those things that you have dreamt about doing.  Why in god's name you would want to leave your dreams unfulfilled is beyond me.

I had someone the other day ask me if I was certain what my destiny was.  He was convinced that each person has a destiny and a purpose, but they were different and they could change.  I tried to share with him that destiny does not change.  We may alter it, but that doesn't mean it's right, nor does it mean it is meant to be that way.  You might alter your destiny because of fear or doubt, but that does not change the fact that your destiny was pre-ordained.  I simply stated that I know my destiny.  His next question or statement was centered around "what if".  What if I never got a book published? What if I only helped one person in my lifetime discover the destiny that resides in them?  My answer surprised him.  I told him that I do not write because I want to make millions, I write because this is what I have been designed to do.  If I only help one person discover their destiny, then I have done my part for humanity.  Understand, destiny is not about me, it is about being there for others.  My ego does not drive me.  My desires are not for me to be rich and have all the toys that go with riches.  My desire is simple:  help others discover who they are and why they are here.  I desire to excite others about looking around each corner and never be afraid to face what they might see.  Fear, doubt, and uncertainty is what keeps people from looking, and if you never look you will never step out into your destiny.

As you approach each corner in your life you have but two options: move forward and handle whatever is there, or simply retreat back to a place of emptiness and regret.  Trust me, if you do not go after your destiny, regret will find you and it will tear you up inside.  Given the choice to be free of regrets or have them eat away at you, what seems like the better choice?  It's time to stick your neck out, but stick it out knowing that there is nothing to fear, nothing to stop you, and nothing that will ever change who you were created to be.  I'll see you around the next corner and together we will tackle anything and everything.
