True Destiny; If life is a Journey, Why Go it Alone?

As this nation pauses to catch it's collective breath after an arduous election cycle, maybe it's time to take a step back and see what has happened and what it may mean to everyone. Now I'm not talking about what party did what, or who won this or won that. I'm talking about the direction that you want to go in, and how it effects the rest of us. A party or group of people has always, and will always start with one person, one thought, one dream. There are no situations that just happen. Everything is based on cause and effect. If someone gets up on the wrong side of the bed in the morning, chances are their day is already ruined and no amount of exhorting from someone else is going to change that. On the other side of the coin, if one gets up with a smile on their face, hope in their heart and a belief that things will work out for the best each day, chances are it's going to be a good day.

I have long held the belief that our best days are still ahead of us. Call it blind faith, eternal optimism, what ever you like, but I can't look at the day in front of me and see anything but sunshine and happiness. Most people who Know me will tell you that I very rarely take things too seriously. As I have said so many times in the past life is too short to be taken seriously. Now there are serious situations around each of us, but those situations are temporal at best and they will change as sure as the seasons of the year. What we have to do is look at situations and see them for what they are; opportunities. Opportunities to conquer our fears, move forward with a project, or simply opportunities for growth and learning. I know that life can throw curve balls at each of us from time to time. No one can expect to go through life untouched by some event, good, bad, or indifferent. What we have to do is look at each situation and see it for what it is; a chance to prove who you are and what you can do. I believe as the old saying goes that neccessity is the mother of invention. How many great ideas have come out of a period in our lives when things may not have been going great. People are always resistant to change, and quite often change will only come about when we realize that we are so uncomfortable in our current situation that we need to get out of it and thereby we make changes to do just that. Maybe you hate your current job for it lacks fulfillment and it is sucking the life right out of you. Until you get to the point where you are sick and tired of being sick and tire you are not going to change anything. But cross that line that has been written in the sand and change is all you can think about from that moment on.

I love talking with people and trying to help them determine what makes them tick. What is it that they have in their heart to do and how can I help them do it. What is it that causes that smile to be on their face when they get out of bed in the morning and what is it that helps them sleep well at night. These are the things that tell you who you are and what you should be doing with your life. Should of, would of, and could of are sayings that can kick us in the backside and then we question our own abilities. Let's face it, we all have dreams and aspirations. Maybe it's time that we look at them and take that step of faith toward them. It is only in doing that we truly will feel as though we have added to society. After all, it's not so much who I am that counts, but what I do that makes a difference. I desire to make a difference in people's lives. To help them see who they are and what they can do. If you can move ahead with the dreams you have, you just might help others achieve their dreams in the process. All in all that is not a bad day. Think about it.............
