See a Penny, Pick it up, and all the day....

https://www.vecteezy.com/free-photos
So how many of you finished the rhyme when you read today's title?  Go ahead, you can admit it, LOL.  I wasn't sure what I was going to write about today, but as always Spirit is good, and after taking the dogs out for their walk, getting my coffee, and sitting down at my computer, resting on my mouse pad was a Heads Up Penny.  Knock me over with a feather, I now had today's topic, God is good.

I know the saying says, "and all the day you'll have Good Luck."  But there is such a huge difference between luck and faith, and I wanted to delve into faith, and how with just a little practice, you can turn your life around forever. We all have faith, some times it's for the little things, sometimes for huge.  Honestly it takes the same faith for little or big.  So what is faith?  How do you obtain it? How does one understand faith?  Most importantly, how do you keep it?  All good questions, and today I'm going to try and answer all these questions.

Faith in its simplest form is believing that things are, before they are.  You go to bed at night with a faith that you are going to get up the next morning to conquer your day.  You have faith that when you put the keys into your car's ignition, it's going to start.  Now to the ordinary person this is simple faith.  What if what you want to do or accomplish is monumental?  What if you are seeking faith to move a mountain?  What if you are attempting to raise someone from the dead?  Once again, to the average person, these last two examples are going to take a huge amount of faith.  Problem is, most people don't realize that the faith to raise someone up for death's grasp, is no different than starting your car in the morning. Sadly, most people, and I know I am generalizing, but most people put limits on faith based on the task a hand.  It's easy to believe for the simple, not so easy believing for the difficult, or in some cases the impossible.

Our faith gets tested daily.  There are some who exercise their faith routinely, other's try to extend faith, but only when they are on their last leg, only when times are desperate.  Problem with this scenario is how can one expect faith to work, if they haven't taken faith out for a spin so to speak, before the preverbal poop hits the fan? Faith is not just for trying times.  Faith is not only when "We" need it.  Faith needs to be a daily part of your life, and faith needs to be understood.  Problem is most don't understand, and certainly most only seek out faith when they are at the end of their rope.  If you believe in the perfection of your creator, then why is it so difficult to believe in your perfection, and even more importantly, that what you desire has been placed in you since the beginning of creation?  I often said this: If God placed a desire inside of you, do you think it was placed there just to play with your mind?  Do you really think that God gets his/her jollies by showing you something, and then taking it away as a tease?  It doesn't work that way, and if you think it does, grow up.

"Let Go, and Let God" is a term we often hear, yet it is something we have difficulty with, and that is because we have yet to learn the simple concept of faith.  Faith in a Creator that can't be seen, is the same faith that will move mountains.  Faith in believing for this or that is really the foundation of our creation.  This world is being tested right now.  We are going through times that many never imagined.  If one can not exercise faith, they are going to be washed away by that torrent of doubt, which has held you captive for far too long.  When I sit down to write on Sunday mornings, I have faith that God is going to give me the words to write.  I never doubt it, and this morning was a prime example.  Honestly, I did not place that penny on my mouse pad.  I was in the shower this morning, and I had no idea what I was going to write about.  I'd have a thought about something, but it didn't seem concrete.  As soon as I sat down and saw what had been presented to me, not only did I thank God for "Pennies from Heaven", but also for the sign of what needed to be presented to each of you today.

I recently shared that I am going through a rough patch with some family issues.  I have had to simply let things go, and remind myself that Creator God is the absolute authority in my life, and all things will work out for my benefit, and those around me.  When we let go of our expectations, and instead seek the perfection of all things, it is easy to extend one's faith, and know that things will work out.  I am not powerless.  I have power from on high, and with said power I release all things so that God's perfect timing, God's perfect love, and God's perfect plan can come into being.  We often try to create things that really need not be created.  Certainly we have ideas, and thoughts, but how often do we screw up things because we doubt, we fear, or we simply don't have the faith to wait in the perfection of things, and try to do things on our own timeline, and not God's?

True faith is knowing who you are.  True faith is knowing that what has been placed inside of you, was placed there for a reason.  True faith is knowing that things will happen as they need to happen, and nothing that you do can change that.  When we try to orchestrate things outside of the perfection of God, this is when we will begin to have issues.

One can depend on luck to get through a trying time.  One can look at luck, and place all their dreams on a chance outcome.  One can even look at luck, and hope for the very best.  If you take a penny and flip it, you have a fifty/fifty chance of it coming up heads.  If you embrace faith, true faith, you have a 100 percent chance of being where God wants you, being what God wants you to be, and doing those things that you were created to do.

There is no doubt that our faith will be tested.  Things will come and go that will test our faith, but the testing of one's faith, as it is written worketh and creates patience.  Faith, while a seemingly abstract thing, is anything but abstract.  The only ones who think this, are the ones who don't understand faith, who don't believe in a higher power, and who will try to do all things under their own power.  Yes, there might be some success in doing things under your own power, but trust me when I tell you this: the time will come when you will have to have faith in something, and if you have never leaned faith, at that moment where one is tested, they will fail.

Emily Matthews writes this, "At times, life's path seems filled with things that make the going rough, and we wish there were a smoother road, for we feel we've had enough...But, if we pause a moment and remember who's in charge, the hills that loom ahead of us no longer seem so large, and every rock before us, when we know we're not alone, becomes, not just a stumbling block, but one more stepping stone."  This my friends is faith, this is truth, and this needs to be our life. Faith is knowing that all things are going to work out in the perfection of our Creator, and when we can have confidence in that, then and only then will faith be a permanent fixture in your life.  Know this, faith as tiny as a mustard seed can move a mountain.  I send you love and light today, and I know that our best days are ahead of us, no doubt, no fear, and know the peace and joy that comes with a life filled with faith.

Wisdom, Beyond our Years

https://www.vecteezy.com/free-photos
What is wisdom?  Where does wisdom come from?  Is wisdom something everyone has, or is it something only for a select few? Lastly, if wisdom is so important, why are there so many lacking it in the world today?  I believe these to be very good questions, and today I am going to try to answer them, and maybe put wisdom into a different light than you might have ever thought.

Aristotle said that "Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom."  So with that said, how many of you really know yourself?  Do you really know who you are, or do you know only what others say or think about you?  Taking it to a much higher level, do you know where you came from, and who is the real creator of you?  Contrary to what many may say or think, wisdom does not come from books.  Books can bring you knowledge, but knowledge does not always translate to wisdom.  To be completely honest there are times when knowledge is a contradiction of wisdom.  Chew on that for a minute, and then we will continue.

I wasn't quite sure how I was going to present today's topic, as I will admit that there are times when I display an amazing lack of wisdom.  Mine generally comes in the form of how I relate to my husband and not giving him the grace he deserves.  Live and learn, right?  That being said, I wanted to tackle this topic because with what the world is going through right now it is going to require individuals to have wisdom, use wisdom, and depend on wisdom to simply get through the day.  I doubt anyone around today would have been able to conceive a script about what this world has been through over the last two or three years.  I'm not talking about politics, or elections, or even the whole Covid-19 thing.  Certainly each of those have their own effect on people.  What I'm talking about is the shift that this entire planet has been going through in regards to energies, thoughts, and a general shift or transition into a higher vibrational existence.

One could argue that a shift in energy actually has nothing to do with having or lacking wisdom, and they might be correct.  One could also debate the merits of what came first the chicken or the egg, or better yet was Adam's navel an innie or and outie?  Wisdom is not based on a discussion, or debate.  Wisdom is not solely the property of a good upbringing or higher education.  Wisdom is having a knowledge that no matter what is going on around you, you have been equipped to handle it.  Wisdom begins, and hold on to your hats for this one, wisdom begins with knowing the real you, I stole that from Aristotle mind you, but I digress.

If one is unfamiliar with where you came from, and why you are here, I will bet you dimes to donuts that many things in life will cause you concern or strife, and the wisdom required to handle certain situations will be, shall we say, less than optimal.  I know plenty of people who are book smart, but lack the common sense to come in out of the rain.  Conversely, there are many, many people who I know who may not have an Ivy League Education, but I would listen to what they have to say without reservation.  They are the ones who have demonstrated wisdom, and those are the ones that I want to learn from.  Wisdom is not based on where you are from, where you went to school, or even what you own.  Wisdom begins with knowing the significance of your creation.  Wisdom is realizing that no matter what is going on around you, that you have a destiny, and all things in your life lead you to your destiny.

When we were young we saw as a child, thought as a child.  Sadly as we grew older we got wrapped up in things that really didn't mean anything and we stopped having that child like faith.  We began to think we had to do everything under our own power, and this is when life became a chore.  Where did our joy go?  When did skipping down the street become something childish or a waste of time?  When we were created we came with a fully functioning, fully knowledgable, completely perfect spirit.  It is only in knowing our spiritual essence that we will ever walk with complete wisdom.  It is only when we realize that we are not a simple mortal, but rather a divine creation, that we will walk in the wisdom that will chart our path, lead us to our destiny, and do the one thing that we were created to do.

Those that display wisdom beyond their years undoubtedly have tapped into their spiritual essence.  They have come to realize that what goes on around them, what others do or say, or even what they own, is not what defines them.  I was trapped in this place at one point in my life, and I had to loose it all in order to come to a realization of who and what I was.  Everyone is going to have to reach this point at some point in their life.  Hopefully it will not be a painful process, but if you're like me it was, but it was also worth it.  Life, as I have said so many times in the past, is a journey of discovery.  Some of this is fun, and exciting, at other times it is painful, and oh so discouraging.  No matter what we go through we have the opportunity to learn lessons, and often those lessons were designed to get us to the right place, at the right time.

Wisdom comes from experiences.  Often those experiences are things that we never want to experience again like touching a hot stove and burning your fingers.  Experience is a great teacher, and experience is where wisdom originates.  I wish I could tell you that you will never have a lousy day, or that everything in life will always be rosy.  Alas, we are going to go through struggles, we will go through hard times, and we will question our sole existence at one time or another.  This is life, and there is no getting around it.  Aristotle was so right when he said to know yourself.  It has taken me a lifetime to understand my essence, and I still have a ways to go to fully understand my place, my vision, my dreams , and my desires.  The great thing about dreams and desires is that they were placed in you because they were meant for you.  Your dreams and desires are the footpath to your destiny, and destiny is where true happiness will come from.  You can have it all, riches, position, fame, and glory, but if you are not doing what you were created to do, it will all be empty at some point in time.

If you want wisdom start by learning about who the real you is.  If you want wisdom don't negate the lessons of the past.  Embrace failure, embrace success, and embrace the fact that you are here for a reason.  We all have wisdom inside of us because we are spirit first and foremost.  When you tap into your spirit, you will have unlimited wisdom, and you will finally discover one of the great mysteries of life.

Tick Tock. Tick Tock, Tick Tock

https://www.vecteezy.com/free-photos
People worry about time.  People base everything in life on time.   People obsess with time.  I guess I have to ask the question, why does one worry, obsess, or base things on something that isn't even real in the first place? Time is man's conception.  Time is only as real as you allow it to be, and too many people allow time to dictate pretty much everything in their life.  Now to be fair, most people's conception of time is a learned trait, albeit, a learned trait that is flawed.  I am not discounting that there are probably only a few homes in the world that do not have a clock of some sort within its four walls.  Most people rise in the morning to an alarm clock.  Many plan their bedtimes based on what time they have to be to work the next day, or when they have to catch an early morning flight.  I am not here to say that a clock has no merit.  Often a clock will keep us on a routine.  A clock will allow us to figure out when to start something, when to stop it, or even if we will have the time to finish a task.  Herein lies the fallacy of the clock. The clock represents time, and time to many, many people is a precious commodity that should not be squandered, should not be wasted, and certainly should never be discounted.

I'm here to tell you today, that time is the one thing that should never, and I repeat never be taken into consideration when it comes to your destiny, or you discovering and walking in your destiny.  Let Me take you on a little trip down Destiny's winding path, and when I am done, I think you will see time a little differently then you do now.

If one believes in the perfection of the Universe, then one needs to believe in the perfection of their design, and the perfection of them being here right now.  Similarly, if one believes that they have a destiny, then that destiny must also be in the perfection of the Universe.  Perfection is just that, perfect.  Perfection has no flaws, no gaps, no inability.  We as humans have flaws, we have gaps, and far too many people feel as though they have no ability to do those things they truly desire to do, that they dream about, and long after.  We must realize as I have said so many times in the past that we are Spiritual Beings who just inhabit this mortal body for a period of time.  Our Spirit is infinite.  There are no design flaws in our spirit.  There are no gaps, there is only perfection.  It is because of this perfection that we need to unleash ourselves from the element of time, and understand that all things happen when they are designed to happen, not a minute before, or a minute after.

I can't count the number of times I have tried to outrun God when it came to something that I thought I was supposed to do.  It wasn't that what I wanted to do was wrong, what was wrong was the time that I did it.  Trust me, when you jump out of the will of God, when you try to do things under your own power, most of the time you are going to mess things up.  People who continually look at time as some measuring stick to the completion of all things are making a monumental mistake.  Allow me to remind you once more, time is an illusion.  How many people do you know who are doing most everything in their life based on a timeline they have created, or someone else created for them?  How many people do you know who have given up on things because in their own eyes, time has passed them by?  Both of these scenarios are preventable, but both are scenarios happen almost daily within the human experience.  The key to any successful endeavor is to realize that need never come into the equation.  Now I know some will say that time is a critical part of anything One attempts to do.  OK, let's say that's true.  Let's say that time is the driving force behind any success.  What you're telling me is that someone who does not have the ability to tell time, and believe it or not there are people out there who can't tell time, that these people will never succeed at life.  I'll tell you that the one who eliminates time from any plan is the one who will probably succeed. I know this must sound crazy, but before you turn a blind eye to what I am saying let me say this.  I know there are 60 seconds in a minute, sixty minutes in an hour, and 24 hours in a day.  I'm not saying that we don't have specific things that do deal with time.  If you are baking cookies, then those 13 to 15 minutes per batch is something that needs to be adhered to.  What I am saying is if you will allow things to happen in the perfection of the Universe, then you will never have to worry about what year it is, what time it is, for even how much time do you have left.

Let's see if I can simplify things a bit.  When I talk about destiny I am talking about doing that one thing that you were created to do.  When I talk about destiny I am talking about why you are here.  Some might discover this great thing young in life.  Others might not discover it until their sunset years.  It just doesn't matter when you step out into your destiny, as you will only walk in your destiny when the time is right, and that right time was set in stone before you were ever born. Many people will make the mistake of thinking just because they failed at something the first time that somehow they will never do what they truly desire to do.  Trust me dear friends, there is nothing imperfect when it comes to the Universe, and as such, the timing of your destiny is perfect.  It is time to forget about time and simply move as you are moved to do things.  If you had told me I was going to be a published author, or writing this blog for the past twelve years, I would have thought you crazy.  Everything happens when it's supposed to happen and not a minute sooner.

I will say this: when we fail at things, instead of looking at it as though it were the end of the world, simply look at it that the timing was not right, and in many cases you have been spared even greater set-backs by a simple failure.  I fully understand when one has a passion that they want to run right into it, and conquer the world.  Keep in mind, that conquering the world, although a big event, may not be what you are really suppose to do, and a failure may be something that gets you to think of the real stuff you are supposed to do, just a thought.

Let me close with this, and hopefully it will tie everything together.  When we focus on time, when we allow it to dictate actions, or when we look at it as some sort of gage, we are limiting the awesomeness of who we are.  If you are basing everything on something that is not real, you are no longer focused on what is real.  The real you, the spiritual you could care less about time.  The real you, the spiritual you is infinite, it has no beginning, no end.  If one is infinite, then does time really mean a thing?  If you begin to focus on your passions, if you will feel the joy of doing what you love to do, I assure you that time will be the last thing you worry about.  When you are doing what you love the only thing you will desire is that you could have 28, or 30, or even 40 hours a day to do it.  I look forward to a time when all I do is write, or go out and speak, or do a rRadio Show.  Yes I will need sleep, but the other time I have left I can't think of anything else I'd rather be doing.  Make sure you set aside time throughout the day to relax, to spend time with family, but remember, you will always have enough time left in your life to fulfill your destiny.  Don't stress over the days, weeks, months, or even years.  When the time is right, the time is right, and there is nothing you can do to change what the Universe has set up for you.  With that in mind, does it really benefit anyone to worry about it?  Think about that for a minute, and thank the Good lord that you are here right now, in the perfect time.

Is it time to celebrate?

https://www.vecteezy.com/free-photos
If you're like me, I'm always looking for reasons to celebrate something.  It's not that I lack reasons to celebrate, but I do it as it grounds me, and often that grounding keeps me out of trouble. When we focus on things that bring us joy, then obviously we have more joy in our life.  I am currently going through a tough situation, and let me tell you, if I can't find joy, if I can't find something to celebrate, then I'm not quite sure I would be surviving right now.

Finding something to celebrate while the world is seemingly falling apart around you is not always a simple task.  Hell, let's call it what it is, a sucky situation.  Finding something to celebrate, even the tiniest of things may be enough from you jumping off the cliff.  Now all this may seem dramatic, but I've known people who when faced with situations, just don't have anything left to fight with.  I'm telling you as sure as I'm sitting here, find the joy, you then find the peace, and with the peace, you can overcome almost anything.

Bible says that Joy comes in the morning.  Sadly there are many people who live in perpetual night, and there appears to be no escape from the torment they might be experiencing.  If you are waiting for morning to experience that joy, you are putting yourself through something that needn't be.  Once again, find the joy, get the peace.  Easier said than done at times, but in the end do you really have any other choice than to find that joy, and find something to celebrate?

I get how it seems easier to yell from the cheap seats to do this or do that.  I get that there are times when there just doesn't seem to be any answers, and even harder to figure out what questions to ask.  What I want to encourage you to do today is simply take a step back, and remember when things were easier.  Now some will say they can't remember a time when things were easier.  Ok, let's go with that for a moment.  You can't sit here and tell me that your life was always a mess, but honestly you can't really do that.  Maybe right now things are messed up, but this hasn't been a constant state in your life, and if you tell me different I'm calling BS.  I don't say that to be mean, I'm saying this to get you to look at something.  When you were just a tiny toddler, did you carry with you then all the stuff you are carrying now?  I dare say no, as you really didn't have a care in the world.  You had food, clothes, and a roof over your head.  All you really did as a toddler was eat, pee, and poop.  It wasn't until you got older that you let the cares of this world take you to a place that you were never intended to go.  We as adults pick up the cares of this world, and sadly, many never figure out how to let them go.

It's a simple thing to celebrate the simple things.  Maybe it's knowing that tomorrow morning you get to enjoy that first cup of coffee.  Maybe it's knowing that when you get home you get to see your family, your pets, or just the quietness of an empty, people free home.  It's much easier than you think to find something to celebrate.  You have to crawl, before you walk, before you run.  Logically it is the same thing with celebration.  Celebrate the small things, so you can work yourself up to the big things.

So why am I pushing celebrations?  Why am I encouraging you to find something small to celebrate.  Things have been rocky for some time for many people, and things might get a bit more crazy over the next few months.  I am bringing all this up to prepare you for something that is coming.  I'm not here to prophesy doom and gloom.  But let's get real, it's doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to see that this world is going through some crazy times.  I'm just trying to prepare you for what is coming, and what is coming could test the patience of JOB!!

How many times have I written that joy begets joy, love begets love, etc, etc, etc? Generally when I repeat myself over, and over again, it's because I'm brining up a point that if taken seriously could keep you from a world of hurt, or in this case a whole bunch of pain.  Celebration is not just for birthdays, or weddings, or even the celebration of life after the passing of a loved one.  Celebration is something that needs to be a part of your day, every day, without exception.  I will tell you that more often than not celebrations take place after the fact, and that is directly opposite of the times they should be taking place.  Face it, if you are surrounded with dire consequences, if you are neck deep in crap, are you really in a position to celebrate?  No, and in fact celebrating during those two types of circumstances is probably the farthest thing from your mind.  We'll celebrate our favorite sports team winning.  We'll celebrate the fact that we lost those ten pounds we have wanted to loose.  We'll even celebrate that the temp has dropped enough that we can sleep with the windows open at night.  Once again this celebration is all after the fact.  Celebration needs to be something that creates a desired response, and not a response to something that has already happened.  Now I'm not saying not to celebrate a win or a victory.  What I'm saying is that in the midst of the storm find something to celebrate.

In my mind, it's always appropriate to celebrate. Yea I may get some smart ass who is going to challenge me on this.  "How can you celebrate something like a hurricane or tornado?"  Well I don't know, maybe celebrate that you know you have angels all around to protect you.  Maybe celebrate the fact that you are able to prepare for such an event.  Hey try this on for size, celebrate the fact that you have the choice to celebrate.  I get this may sound crazy, but celebrating the little things, will provide you an opportunity to celebrate the really big things.

Celebrating all things life is the quint essential thing to bring you a good life.  Remember, celebration should be before, and not just after.  Celebration should be an acknowledgment that you are a creator, and the you create with your words, your thoughts, and your feelings.  Celebration should be a daily thing, and the more you celebrate the little things, the sooner you will be able to celebrate the big things.  Face it there are a few things in life that defy explanation, and celebrating before things happen may be one of them, but trust me, better to get ahead of the game verses playing catch-up.

Let me end with this, and it may be repeating, but repeating is good from time to time. We celebrate birthdays.  We celebrate anniversaries.  We even celebrate a Super Bowl Win.  Try this on for size: celebrate a birthday before the birth.  Celebrate a Wedding Anniversary before the Wedding.  Celebrate your Team even before the big game.  Why?  You are putting creative energy up to the universe, and it is that same creative energy that will come back to you.  After the fact is nothing more then riding the coat tails of something else>  Get out in front of things, and be the creator of all things good.  Celebrate early, celebrate often, but above all else simply celebrate.

Let's turn the calendar and see what's instore.

https://www.vecteezy.com/free-photos
Is it possible that three months have gone by this fast?  Before you know it, the next three months will be done, and we will be on to the new year.   I can hear the cat calls now, please enough with the new year stuff.  I get it, but let's be real, this first post after my three month break is the only time I get to play this game, so I hope you will bear with me.

I won't bore you with the details of what my hiatus was like.  Each of us takes time for ourselves in different ways, and the results for each are as varied as the sands of the beach.  Suffice it to say this year taught me a lot, and I truly believe it has prepared me for what I plan to bring to each of you over the next few months.  Today's blog is simply to say Hi, and to let you know that I haven't forgotten about you, nor has my mission to help others discover their destiny changed.  If anything, I have a greater desire to spread my "Gospel" far and wide.  Now that last statement may seem a bit self-centered, I assure you it is not.  I just so firmly believe in everyone having the chance to do what they were created to do, to walk in their destiny, and do it with joy, and peace, knowing they are on the right path.

Many people feel as if their life is at a stand still.  There are so many questions out there, and answers appear to be far and few between.  I assure you that the Universe has not forgotten about you, it has not fallen asleep at the wheel, and things will become clear if you will just be patient, and know that Spirit has everything under control.  I've had to ask the Universe for some answers over the last three months.  Some of the answers I liked, some I didn't.  Some of the information was clarifying, some simply meant I had a dozen other questions.  Either way, I was opened to what I heard, and in reality, pretty much knew what the answer was going to be before the answer was given.  We are in a period of time where energies are being cleaned up.  We are in a time period where those things that no longer serve us are being driven away from us, thus opening up things in your life for things that really mean something.

What I want to do today as I get back on the saddle, with writing that is, is to encourage you, and let you know that what may not be seen at the moment, does not mean it is not real, does not mean it is not for you, and certainly does not mean you have been forgotten.  To say that there is a shift happening at the moment is an understatement.  Many people feel as though they are being pulled in every direction.  I've heard so many comments from others about the topsy turfy nature of things in the moment.  I started out my hiatus not knowing what was going to happen.  I had no particular agenda for the three months, and to be honest was simply looking to relax, and do a whole lot of nothing.  What I found myself doing was pulling people off the edge, and trying to bring them to some resemblance of normal.  I'm not going to go into a lot of detail, as that is between me and those I came in contact with.  Suffice it to say there were many challenges, and with those challenges came some success, and let's just say, others had the opportunity to do things over again.

We all have different ways of coping.  We all have needs, and desires.  We are all different.  With that being said, now is not a time to give up.  Together we are strong.  There is a scripture that says that a cord of three strands is not easily torn apart.  When we unite in a common purpose, we are unstoppable.  When we merge our energies, we become a force that cannot be stopped. There is no doubt that what awaits us is going to be phenomenal.  There are things right around the corner that are going to amaze us.  As we open our eyes, our hearts, we will see the purpose of our existence.  We were created for such time as this, and when each of us step out into our destiny, we will see what that purpose is, and why we are here.

Like many others, there have been times in my life when all I wanted to do was give up.  I had grown tired of the struggles, the battles.  It was during my weakest moments that I had to dig deep, and really figure out who I was, and why I was here.  If you find yourself in this position, do not loose heart.  The fact that you are reading this right now should be proof that you have a destiny, and that destiny is simply waiting for you to acknowledge it, step out into it, and be the person you were intended  to be. We tend to look at timelines, and wonder we have missed out on the best part of life.  You have not missed out on life, and what is about to be thrust upon you is going to amaze you.  Greatness comes when we let go of expectations.  Greatness comes when we step away from preconceived notions, and simply allow life to play out the way it was always intended to play out.  We get in the way of so many things, and once you let go, and let God, change will come to you.  This change may surprise you, but this change is what we all need, as only through change can we be where we need to be, when we need to be there.

I know todays blog may be slightly disjointed, but rest assured, those who need to see it, read it, and take it to heart, will do just that.  We have good days ahead, just make sure that you are ready for the good that is coming.

They just couldn't quite wrap their head around it...

It's the final Sunday in May, and that means that this will be my last blog for the summer.  It's always bitter sweet when this day comes because as much as I love writing, I equally love my annual hiatus, which in truth is just a period to unwind, unload, and otherwise calm my mind as much as possible.  However, that being said, I want today's blog to open your eyes, and hearts, to something I may not have talked about before, but really feel a need to cover it.  I would like to preface my words with this:  we live in challenging times.  Many of these challenges have hit people hard, and I mean hard in so many different ways.  I have seen families divided.  I have witnessed otherwise adult people act in juvenile ways that would make a parent blush.  I feel the pain that so many are experiencing.  What I want to do is suggest a few things that hopefully will answer many questions that have been circling about in your mind.

I was participating in a discussion on a National Platform yesterday afternoon, that ended quite late, at least at the point that I left the conversation, it was late into the evening.  Sadly I left the talk because it had taken on a different feel.  Early on during the initial time of discussion it was uplifting, challenging at times, but otherwise full of love, appreciation, and mostly unconditional and non-judgmental love.  Sadly, in my opinion, and mine opinion only, the feel of the room changed.  What caused this change you might ask?  People came in with an agenda, their own agenda, and their own belief system.  Now, everyone has the right to their own opinion, and everyone has the right to their own beliefs.  What I witnessed were people who had already tried, convicted, sentenced, and hung the criminal before there even was a criminal.  I witnessed people so set in their beliefs that there was not a chance in hell that you could even rationalize with them as to possible different outcomes.  I'm not going to go into intricate details, but what I want to do is simply offer up an alternative solution, and allow you to choose.

Most everyone believes in a god.  Whether you call God a him, or her, whether you call God Spirit, or Source, it all comes down to a Creator.  I hope we can at least agree to this premise.  Most people believe that the bible is the inspired word of God, set down as a guideline to life.  So with that said, I would think that those who believe the bible, equally believe that God provided us his word, believe that God did this to teach us, and allow us to grow.  So if God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and if God gave us the words of the bible to teach, does it not seem logical that God is still in the business of teaching people with his words today?  If, going down little deeper, God was still wanting to teach, is it not possible that what people are learning today is equally as important as those words written ions ago?  I only say this because of what I witnessed on the call.

Let me use an analogy.  Let's say you are in an elementary math class, there to simply learn the basics.  You have to learn that 2 plus 2 equals four, before you can figure out the area under a curve in calculus.  You've got to start small and end big. Bear with me, and I think you will see where I am going with this.  If we take the analogy of going one step at a time, increasing our knowledge along the way, we would have to agree that we are always learning.  If we are always learning, obviously there have to be those around who can teach.  Before you had airplanes, did we have people who could tear apart an airplane engine and put it back together?  Of course not because there were no planes.  So, how could one learn about something before something was created?  So here's my question to each of you:  if we are always learning, if we need people around who can teach, doesn't it make sense that just maybe God is inspiring others to continue to write down his words for later generations to learn from?  Isn't it kind of narrow minded to believe that God has nothing else to teach us?  I'm not taking away from the bible, not in the slightest.  What I'm doing is suggesting that maybe, just maybe God the Creator of the Universe still may be trying to teach us, but teach us from a different level, a level that can only be seen with spiritual eyes?  If God is still trying to teach us, then maybe, just maybe, he is also trying to bring us to a new level, with new words.  I personally believe it's absolutely idiotic to think that God in the perfection of God is done providing us guidance.  I'm sorry if this offends someone, but putting in a box by blatantly saying that your way is the only way, is in my opinion stupid and ignorant.  The hate mail will probably flow, but this is my belief, and you of course can believe what is in your heart to believe.

I guess I am saying all that to say this:  "Lighten up Francis".  OK, my attempt at humor.  If anyone remembers the movie "Stripes", you will get my joke, but I digress.  There are people who believe in prophets.  I'm not here to sway anyone one way or the other.  But let's assume prophets are real, and didn't disappear at the end of the Apostolic Era.  If we took the inspired word of God and put it down on parchment, to teach future generations, then why couldn't the same thing be happening now?  Why can't we accept the premise that God is still trying to teach us? Face it, we live in different times, with different things, might it be necessary to also teach about these differences?  I'm sorry, but I just can't accept that we have nothing else to learn, but more importantly that there is still a need to write down what Spirit is saying. But this is simply "New Age Crap" so say those stuck in their limited beliefs.  When we stop the ability to learn, accepting that there is nothing else to learn, I will promise you, you are screwed.

So here we are at a crossroads again.  Do we go down the path that limits us, or do we go down a path that continues to grow us, educate us, inspire us, and brings us to new levels? I'm sorry but if you feel this is all there is, nothing else to learn, nothing else to be taught, then I feel you will miss out on some pretty remarkable stuff.  Remember, we just might be in the generation that was designated for now, because we were ready to take the next step in our evolutionary development.  I don't mean evolving into something different than human, I mean evolving in our knowledge and accepting our gifts and callings.  When we limit God, we limit ourselves, those around us, and the rest of humanity.  When we tell God that we know best and he or she had better not think about ever adding any new words to the other inspired words of God, then you have just made a mistake of such monumental proportions it's unreal.

Open yourself up to the possibility that there are new things coming.  Be open to hear what is happening, why it is happening, and most importantly, what your place is in what is going on right now.  I have not idea what is going to go on during my time away, but I bet it is going to be fantastic.  I leave you with this blessing:  Be bold, Be strong.  Never back down, never be afraid, and walk in the power and glory of your creator.  We have won already, now it's time to bring the victory to the rest of the world.

Highway to Heaven

There's a highway to heaven.  But the first thing we need to determine is what is heaven, and where is it?  I'm not here to debate religious teachings, or personal beliefs.  What I want to do is provide you with additional thoughts that will lead you down a highway to heaven, or better said, lead you to your destiny.  When it's all said and done, believe it or not, we all have a destiny, a purpose.  The sooner you can accept this fact, this truth, the sooner you can begin your journey of discovery.  Half the fun of being alive right now is dreaming about your tomorrows.  Half the fun of being alive right now is realizing you are your dreams.  I was participating on a discussion last night on a national platform that at any given time has about 1.5 to 1.6 million viewers during their broadcast.  Somehow the group got on a discussion about what was taking place in the world today, and you could tell the vibrational energy in that room was slowly but surely beginning to go lower, and lower.  Now typically I will sit back and listen, and only when prompted to do so, will speak out.  Well thank God I was promoted to speak, and for the next thirty or forty minutes began to take this group on a journey of discovery.  I'm not saying this to puff myself up.  No, I say this to tell you that you also have to discover a few things, and you need to start walking on this highway to heaven.

Too many times during our day we allow things to bring us down.  We find ourselves surrounded by people who have absolutely nothing good to say.  Surrounded by people whose vibrational energy is only slightly higher than that of a nat.  I'm not judging, I'm simply stating truth.  If you find yourself surrounded by these types of people, get away.  If you can't get away, then immerse yourself in quiet mediation and protect your own energy.  I think if you asked 1000 people what they feel like when they are around negative people, probably 1000 of them would tell you something like it sucks.  They will drain you, and drain you, and drain you of any positive vibrational energy you might have, and even that energy that you have stored up.  Get away from them anyway you can.

They say that the path to Hell is lined with good intentions.  Well the Highway to heaven is paved with good intentions, as good intentions sets the tone, and in doing so you are setting yourself up for good.  What do I mean by that?  If your intent is to be happy, you are going to find ways to be happy.  If the intent is to receive love, you intention must be to give love.  If you want to walk around in light, shine your own light.  Intention, intention, intention, you must set the intention and nothing can get off the course of that intention.  It may seem ridiculous to say, but you will get what you want if you will hold fast to those things you have set your intention, or thoughts on.  Remember, we were created to create.  When you set out to complete a task, do you start out by thinking you will never accomplish it?  No, of course not, and the same can be said about most things in life.  As a young 19 year old I was flying to England for my first duty station in the United States Air Force.  I was reading on that very long flight to England and came across a quote that I still remember today, and that was nearly fifty years ago.  The quote said, "I would rather attempt something great and fail, then attempt nothing at all and succeed."  Now I'm not telling you to have thoughts of failure.  What I'm saying is that anything worth having is worth working for.  If your desire is to write a book, do you set the intention of writing it, and can yo see the finished product, even before the finished product has been produced?

If you are unable to see what's yet to be manifested in your life, and yet you still believe it will happen, then yo are holding the intention in your heart, and the likelihood of you obtaining what you want is pretty darn good.

Growing up with spiritual maturity is not something that is going to happen over night.  Growing up spiritually is not something that can be measured in dollars and cents.  Spiritual Maturity is what will shine the light on your path, the highway to your destiny, a destiny that leads to heaven on earth.  So what or how should we classify heaven on earth?  Is it having the big house, the fancy car, and boat loads of money?  Is heaven on earth nothing more than reaching the top of the corporate ladder?  If your answer to either of these questions is yes, I can assure you that you are not experiencing heaven on earth.  Heaven on earth is walking in your destiny, and cherishing every single moment, of every single day.  Experiencing heaven on earth is knowing the true meaning of life, and how you fit into that meaning.  Experiencing heaven on earth is realizing that God's plan is for you to have all things here on earth as you would have in heaven.  Too many people have forgotten the promise of heaven on earth because they have focused on every other thing except what should be focused on, and that is the real you.  When you come to a clear understanding of the real you, the true essence of who you are, then you will be inhabiting heaven on earth, and not a moment before that.

I don't we want to beat a dead horse, so let me end with this, and I only want you to think about what I am about to say.  If you are always struggling to find your little piece of heaven here on earth, stop whatever it is you are doing and simply thank your creator for creating you.  Thank God for placing you here right now,  as you being here right now is in the perfection of the universe.  Take a few moments just to be thankful that you have survived all the fiery darts and arrows of life, that you have conquered fear and yes even death, and that you are so much more than just an air breathing carbon unit.  When you can begin to accept your greatness, your uniqueness, your beauty, and strength, then you will begin to experience heaven on earth.  When you can identify with your divine nature, the perfect nature of god that resides inside of you, then you will be experiencing heaven on earth. When you realize that the Highway to Heaven is never going to put you where you should not be, then you will begin to believe in the direction you are going.  When you place your feet upon the Highway to Heaven you will experience things that you never thought possible, and will realize that in fact, all things are possible.  Your path is lit up, your highway awaits you.  Set all fear aside, all doubt, all stress, and anxiety, and simply bathe in the love of your creator.  You have this, I know you do.
