Don't always believe what you see with your eyes.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/77467755@N00/3153453588
These are crazy times that we are living in.  It seems like the entire planet is fixated on so many things, and making decisions that affect countless other people.  What many are not doing however, is seeing what is real verses what is pretend, what they know to be truth and not be moved simply by what is being shown to them by others.  I know it's difficult to not believe in something that you see right in front of you, but those things in front of you are most likely something that is absolutely contrary to the real you.  Let me break this down a bit, and then you will see where I am heading with all of this.

First and foremost, you are spirit.  Spirit is not moved by forces outside of itself, as it is infinite, unchangeable, and thereby the only real thing there is.   Too many individuals are being swayed by the fears of others, the uncertainty of what is next, and more importantly, failing to realize that you have control.  I run into those who are running around fearful, not knowing who or what to believe, and simply afraid to do anything.  I see others who want to take a stand, but feel it would be an act of futility since the world is coming to an end.  OK, I'm being a little facetious.  If all we do is make decisions based on what we see, and not on what we know to be truth, we will find ourselves in dire straights.  I know how hard it is to look past what seems to be real, but in these times, we have to do just that.  We are created beings, and we need to begin to create the life we desire.  There's an old saying that it is difficult to continue to drain the swamp when you are up to your butt in alligators.  Well it's difficult to walk in your power when all you see around you are people who are doing just the opposite.  Running around scared to death of what  could happen, what might happen, is nothing more than giving up on knowing who and what you really are.  Trust me when I tell you, that the first step in getting over a hurdle is realizing that you can clear the hurdle.

I feel bad for all those who are currently suffering because of what is happening in the world right now.  If I could single handedly turn things around for them, I would do that.  If I could magically wipe the Covid-19 off the face of the earth I would do that.  Sadly, even if I could snap my finger and it would be gone, someone, somewhere would manifest it back into existence because it is what they are creating for their own reality.  I know that some people will discount what I am saying this morning, but those people are the very ones who are running around scared and uncertain about the future.

Of the Seven Billion plus people on this planet, how many of them do you think can accept the fact that they are powerful beings, able to walk above the fray?  We have been conditioned over generations to believe that we have to accept all that is bad in the world.  We have forgotten, or maybe never realized, that we have dominion on the earth.  I know there will be a point where I will leave this earth, this temporary body, and move on to another existence.  Until such time, I am, committed to teach others just what real power looks like, and how walking in your power will change your life and the lives of those all around you.  I see doors being opened to create an awakening, an awakening that is long overdue, but at the same time is right on time.  If you believe in the perfection of the universe, then all things happen at the right time, for the right purpose.  We have to step into our power.  I know it can be difficult, but it is something that you must do, or forever be thrown about by everything that is out there which desires to harm you in some way.

I struggle with fears just like anyone else.  My husband was just told that he would be out of work for the next few weeks.  Others around have been told the same thing, and for many that could be catastrophic financially for them.  What we all need to do is accept that this is nothing more than a smoke screen and that we need not fear what lies ahead of us.  When things get a little dicey, simply step back and know who you are.  When fear wants to overtake you, step back and know what you are.

If all you do is believe what you see with your eyes, or hear with your ears, then you are going to struggle I assure you.  If you will begin to stand in what you know to be truth, eventually you will rise above all the things that others are fighting with, and life will take on a whole new perspective.  I recommend that you stand in your power.  I recommend that you shy away from listening to all the bad, and instead focus on the truth of your being.  You still may struggle with things, but over time the struggles will be less frequent and far less in duration.  If you could see what I see, feel what I feel right in this moment, you would know that you are a supernatural being, loaded with supernatural talents and strengths.  If you fail to realize this, then you will leave all that power just sitting there, and then you will be forced to do what everyone else is doing, and that is expect the worst of things to happen.

My encouragement to you today is for you to take a step back, toss off all the fear, and simply rest in your truth, walk in your power, and be the real you.  Trying times require strength in purpose.  Trying times require fortitude.  Trying times will allow you an opportunity to walk in your Power, if you choose to do so, thereby, propelling you to new heights of awareness.  When you walk in your power, discount what your eyes see, you will overcome.  I encourage you to make a shift, see the importance of your being, and change your life and the lives of those around you.

STAND IN YOUR POWER!

http://www.flickr.com/photos/10688882@N00/47189890592
Maybe it's time for a little reminder of who and what you are, just in case you have forgotten.  So many people have been swept up in all the panic and frenzy of what is happening around the world.  I get how some might be over wrought with all the press about the Covid-19 Virus.  I understand the need for precautions, but let's not forget, you are an infinite being.  You are a creator. You are not just a mere mortal.  Now, in light of what everyone is feeling, I want to encourage you to take a step back and think about the real you.

The real you is infinite.  As such, you have no beginning, you have no end.  You have been, and will always be.  You have a power within, that very few people truly understand, and even fewer completely walk in.  I've watched in amazement, over the last few days, as people are hoarding items from the grocery store.  I've wondered why so little effort has been made to get people to take a step back and simply encourage them to stand in their own power.  The answer is quite clear, but also very sad, most don't understand the power they have, let alone stand in it.  I guess maybe that is why I do what I do, and why I write, to open the eyes of those who need to see the truth.

Here's the simple truth: you are much more than any virus.  You are so much better than the person who has to empty the shelf of items out of fear of some pandemic.  You are you.  You are power. You are infinite, infinite, infinite.  I don't know how many more ways I can say it, or write it, or express it. When you begin to stand in your power you will never fall prey to what others are worried about, are running from, and quite frankly don't fully understand.  When you stand in your power, you are inviting others to experience your magnificence.  When you stand in your power, you are changing the things round you.  When you stand in your power you are freeing the world from all that ails it.

When you were young, you thought as a youngster.  As far as you were concerned there for very little that you couldn't do, and even less that could hurt you.  Most of you were daredevils, not worried about trying something new, and excited about what could be done.  Sadly we have allowed the world around us to stifle those feelings, those thoughts.  We have morphed into a society of can't, won't, shouldn't, and don't even think about it.  We have allowed the world around us, and those who don't understand the significance of their being, to rob us of our power, our true identity.  If ever there was a time to step back and capture what is yours, now is that time.

I think we have gotten to a point in our society where we have abdicated our true place to those who say one thing, but do something different.  We have settled for what others tell us we have to be, and forgotten to be, or decided to walk away from, who we really are.  In this time of worry, this period of uncertainty, don't you think that things would be just a little better, a little easier, if you actually stood in your power?  I make no apologies for not being worried about all the things that people are worried about right now.  I make no apologies for standing in my understanding of who and what I am.  I certainly make no apologies for standing up and telling someone to relax, take a deep breath, and maybe look at things from a creators perspective.

If you believe as I do I can assure you that people are going to think you have jumped off a cliff, or into the deep end.  I can promise you that others will think you're the crazy one, and not them.  I promise you that you will loose friends over your beliefs and feelings, or as a minimum they will look at you differently, and most likely decide you are too far out there to want to associate with.  Sadly, that is their loss, not yours.  The day is coming when others will be banging down your door to have what you have.  They will be asking, and asking, and asking, how you do it, and how do they get it.  These people will be hoarding your time and energy just like they are hoarding toilet paper right now. Sadly, they already have what you have, they just don't want to, or can't acknowledge it because it doesn't seem real, or possible.  There's an old saying that even atheist believe in God when the bombs are falling down on top of them.

I encourage you to get ahead of the rest of the crowd and begin to walk in your power. Recognize the significance of your being, and the fact that you are a creator.  You are not a mere mortal, you are so much more.  Yes it's hard to fathom, it's hard to accept, and hard to walk in, but once you do fathom, accept and begin to walk in the real you, things will be different.  I can't force you to take the next step.  I can encourage you, hope for you, wish for you, and to a degree proclaim things for you, but ultimately it is your choice.  You can choose to listen to all the doomsayers out there, or you can choose to walk in your power.  You can choose to hold up in your homes and do nothing, or you can walk in your power.  You can allow others to dictate your mood, your feelings, your outlook, or you can walk in your power.  The decision rest with you, and only you.  I can encourage, extol, even bagger you to make a choice, but I can't choose for you.

If ever there was a time to dig deep, look deep, and step into the real you, now is that time.  Things may not change over night for you, but they will change as you change the way you see things, the way you think about things, and the way you feel about things.  As creators, we are walking in what we have created for ourselves, all the good, the bad, and even the ugly.  There is a power in you, it's time to stand in it.  There's a power in you, it's time to release it.  There's a power in you, and it's really time to finally embrace it.  It is there for you, because it is you.  Hold to your truth, and stand in your power.

The calm after the storm.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/66885349@N03/34212317084
We've all gone through storms in life.  Whether it's Mercury in retrograde, or full moon madness, or simply Friday the 13th, there are times and days when the storm seems to want to overtake us, yet we survive.  How do I know that you have survived the storms of life?  Easy, you're reading this.  What I want to focus on today is the simple fact that each of you have within you, all the ability to survive any storm in life.  Now it may not always seem like it while you're  in the midst of a trying period, but rest assured you will come out of it.  So many times in life we are told all that we can't do, so today I want to tell you about all that you can do.  Maybe this week's blog won't change your life, but I bet it will make it a little more tolerable when you face the many challenges that could come your way.  So get a cup of coffee, or tea, and simply rest in these words, and know the power you have within to combat all things.

I'm sure all of you will agree with me when I say that there is always a calm after the storm.  Face it, storms don't last forever, and if actual storms did laster forever, well then, we're all screwed.  Storms come and go, but how you handle them, well that's the conundrum.  Now you could bury your head in the sand and simply refuse to acknowledge the existence of storms in life, but what would you learn if you did that, and what would it get you?  Storms, trials, failures, all teach us valuable lessons.  We may not want to hear that, we certainly don't desire to go through them, but learning will happen.

Now I'm about to say something that some may not want to hear, but it has to be said, and you need to listen.  Truth be told we create many of the storms we deal with.  Now it's not always intentional, but we let it happen.  Storms have a way of waking up our senses, and when it's all said and done, that may not be a bad thing.  Each time we navigate a storm in life we grow.  Just for a moment think back five or so years.  My guess is that each of you are in a very different place, and quite sure that there were a few storms that occupied your life during this period.  You faced your storms, you grew, and now look at you.  Certainly there are scars from time to time, but battle scars simply mean you have something to show for your victory.

We can focus on storms, or we can focus on the growth that each storm brings.  We can focus on what we perceive we are lacking, or on what we have to be grateful for.  Life is all about making choices, and you have to decide what choices to make.  If you choose to accept challenges as opportunities, then you will definitely enjoy the calm after the storm.  If on the other hand you simply refuse to learn from things, then you are going to find yourself in a constant state of storminess, and quite frankly that would suck.  I would love to say that I have never had a storm in my life.  I have struggles just like every one.  What I won't do is give up on my passions, my dreams, my desires.  What I won't do is blame others for what I am going through, or what I may have gone through.  I have to own my life, because I have created my life.  If you always see yourself as the victim, you're always going to be a victim.  If you see yourself as a creator, well then, life starts getting to be a real adventure and a whole lot of fun.

Will there ever be a time when there are no storms in life?  Nope, but then again, that also means that there will always be a period of calm.  I love my moments of calm.  I love my moments of knowing that I am in the right place, at the right time, doing what I was created to do.  You see, walking in the calm after the storm, is walking in a knowledge that you are who you are.  Calm is knowing the perfection of your design, and the perfection of your destiny.  Calm is accepting all that you are, and nothing about what you are not.  Calm is experiencing joy, happiness, peace, and love, and sharing it all with others.  If you will begin to focus on all that happens in the calm, then soon, there will be much less storminess.  If on the other hand you focus only on storms, well life is going to be a complete "Shite" show.

To walk in calmness is to walk in the knowledge that you are unique.  To walk in calmness is to walk in the knowledge that you are special and gifted.  We all have talents and those talents were placed in you so you can accomplish went you were sent to accomplish.  Be joyful and accept the fact that you are equipped with all you will need to walk this journey called life.  I experience total calmness each time I sit here to write.  Look for opportunities to do those things you love most.  Your passions are your stepping stones to calmness.  When you are enjoying the company of friends, the thrill of trying something new, are you focused on any storm?  What we focus on will be manifested in our life.  This being a true statement, what does that tell you?  Focus on the good, the fun, the love, peace, joy.  Focus on all that is good.  Light brings more light, and love brings more love.

There is a calm after each storm, and the key is to stay in the calmness, focus on the calmness, and most assuredly, enjoy the calmness.  Life can be tricky, there's no doubt about it, but there will be times when you have to choose.  My advice is choose wisely.  I've always said that there is good and bad, why not stay in the good?  You can either focus on the storm, or focus on the calm, which one is the better choice?  I leave it up to you, but I encourage you to choose the calm, and watch as things smooth out, and then it's smooth sailing.  Love and light to each of you.

Ever been told you're full of hot air?

http://www.flickr.com/photos/8228813@N06/6066945953
I'm not quite sure where the phrase "you're just full of hot air." comes from.  I personally think that someone was probably not in agreement with what someone was talking about and just decided to make it personal.  I think we have all been guilty at one time or another of saying something that wasn't quite right, or wished we could take back, but thank god we were shown grace and mercy for our slip of the tongue.  Being full of hot air to me signifies someone who is full of themselves.  When you walk around thinking you are the best thing since sliced bread or super crunchy peanut butter, it is then that you become the one filled with hot air.  Ego is one of the greatest setbacks to walking a spiritual life.  Ego is not interested in your destiny.  Ego is not interested in your heart.  Ego only cares about surface issues, and if you think your ego is a true friend to you, you have another thing coming.

What I'd like to share today is my belief that all people have a worth.  I believe that all people have a destiny.  I also believe that everyone, if they are being truthful, desires to know what is really important in life, and what they need to do to walk in their passion.  The person who only sees the physical, the surface stuff, is the person who quite frankly is the one full of hot air.  I don't say these things to be mean or spiteful, I say these things as an encouragement of what to shy away from.  We've all been around those people who act as though they are all that.  You know, those who walk around with their nose up in the air.  Sooner or later we are going to have to acknowledge that we are all just flesh creatures who happen to occupy a flesh body.  This body will eventually turn to dust, but our true essence will last for an eternity.  It is when you can  recognize your true self that you begin to realize that walking around trying to be top dog really has no value whatsoever.

One of the things I've come to realize as of late is that my desires are centered on being my highest self.  I'm not motivated to live in the biggest house, or drive the fanciest car.  As far as I'm concerned I simply want to be the best me I can be so I can help others be the best they can be.  Whether I leave a Hundred Million Dollar Estate, or just a knowing that I was a friend to many means the same to me.  I'm not motivated by having more then someone else.  I'm not motivated to sell a million books.  Certainly selling books means I'm getting my story of destiny out to the world, but if only one person changes from what I have written, then all the hours spent at my keyboard will have been worth it.  I was thinking back to the time when I started writing this blog.  It's been about 8 or 9 years, maybe 10, I've really have not tracked it to be honest.  What I've attempted to do is simply provide my insight into what it means to discover and walk in your destiny.  I've never thought of myself as the Master of Destiny.  To be quite honest, I'm never sure what I'm going to write about until I sit down to write, and even then, I have to go back and read each blog the day after.  I am truly blessed to have been given this gift, and this opportunity to write each week.  I look at what I do, and I am truly honored that I have been given this task.  What I want each of you to do is find your place of honor, and do what you were created to do.  Life changes when you remove ego from the equation and simply follow your heart, and your passion.

I will promise you this:  when you begin to walk in your passion, you will soon forget the ego, and you will be anything but full of hot air.  Can you even imagine a world that is free from ego?  I mean really, a place where truth and joy, faith and happiness, love and peace are what govern our lives, it would be magical.  Is this possible?  I believe it is, but the key is that you believe it for yourself.  If you can't walk in truth, in joy, in faith, and in happiness, then what's the purpose of living?  Your purpose is why you are here.  I will bet you that those who are really filled with hot air, haven't the foggiest notion of what life is really all about.  I will lay you odds that the person who is filled with hot air couldn't hit the center target of love and peace, if their life depended on it.

Growing up there was a song about looking for love in all the wrong places.  What about people that are looking for success in all the wrong places?  There is nothing wrong with success.  I like being successful, but my success is not measured by the things I acquire.  My success is not based on where my books might end up on the New York Times Best Seller list.  My success is nothing more than being the best me I can be in order to help others be the best they can be.  People who bloviate about how great they are have missed the mark completely.  People who have to tear others down so they can feel superior have missed the mark.  People who measure their success against other people's success have also missed the mark.  Hot air is hot air.  Bloviating is bloviating.  Measuring yourself against anyone else is simply a waste of time, and it is really just filling yourself up with hot, hot air.  A hot air ballon will go up in the sky once it has sufficient hot air in it, but you can bet your bottom dollar that eventually it is going to come down back to earth.  If someone is filled with hot air, it isn't an issue if they will come back to earth, it is really about when they will.

I'm not quite sure why I took this path today, but I know that someone somewhere needed to see this and read it.  I hope that as you pursue your passions you will learn what is important and what isn't important.  In the end hot air is going to cool down and many will be left deflated and not knowing what to do.  If you will focus on the real you, on what is truly important, and will follow your heart, I promise you that you will never fall back to earth in a gnarled mass.  There is so much more to life than simply acquiring things.  Life is journey of discovery.  I encourage you to discover what is important, what is purposeful, what is at the center of your being, and pursue it like you've never pursued anything before.  In the end those who are simply filled with hot air will discover that nothing they can do is going to prevent the inevitable fall to earth.  Do yourself a favor and keep your feet on the ground, and know that being the real you will show others just what can be accomplished as you reach your destiny.

The Artist, a painter, sculptor, the writer.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/90955804@N04/35185870894
It all begins with a clean canvas, a block of granite, a blank page.  It all begins with nothingness, and in the end a masterpiece, a priceless example of form, an essay of epic proportion.  Such is the life of an artist.  Such is the life of each human being.  We begin as nothingness and end up as something truly phenomenal.  What I would like you to think about today is what are you going to put on your canvas, carve into your granite, or write down on your page.  Truth be told, you have the decision in all of it.  You design your life.

We've been made to believe that we simply exist.  We go about our day experiencing things that others say we need to experience.  We have expectations that have been forced on us by others.  We often believe that we have no choice when it comes to living, and that our days are numbered the moment of our birth.  This my friends is utter nonsense, and today I want you to think bigger, live bigger, enjoy bigger, and love like there was no tomorrow.  When you think, live, enjoy, and love life, you begin to paint your portrait.  Your essay will depict a life full of greatness.  Your words will suddenly paint of picture of warmth, of comfort, and most assuredly, your words will usher in a life that is far superior than anything you could even imagine.

I've lived the better part of my life always wondering why I was just a little outside of the box.  Why did I see things a little differently than others?  Why do I feel so deeply about certain things, and try as I might unable to let go of my dreams?  If you had told me fifteen years ago that I would be a published author I would have thought you nuts.  If you had told me ten years ago that I would still be writing this blog, I'd of thought you mad.  I love writing.  It is my happy place.  When I sit down to write, all cares, all worries, all concerns, slip away into the background.  Such is the life of a writer that loves his trade, and such is my life each time I am fortunate enough to sit down to write.  What I desire for each of you reading this, is that you find this place in your life.  It matters not what your passion might be, what matters is that you follow your passions.  Trust me when I tell you this: if you do not boldly hold on to your passions, you are forever going to feel as though something is missing in your life, and you will always be on a search for something, that quite frankly is right under your nose.

Since moving to Texas with my husband, and our dog, I have been going through a shift.  This shift has caused some mild discomfort, but that comes with any change.  This shift has also brought a new awareness.  Like anything new in life, we often approach things with mild trepidation. We can say we want change, but when you come face to face with that change, suddenly we often take a step back to look at the scene unfolding, and not always with a joyful glee.  That being said, I have finally, and I mean finally, after years and years of struggle, found myself in a place where I feel whole.  I find myself in a place where I finally feel worthy.  I find myself in a place where I can say, and maybe for the first time in my life, I am that I am.  I've taken a blank page, a clean canvas, a block of granite, and created something marvelous, something beautiful, something magnificent.  We are all beautiful. We are all magnificent.  We are phenomenal.

We seem to forget that we are spirit first and foremost.  Our spirit is whole. Our spirit is complete.  We may come into this world with nothing, knowing nothing, at least from a human aspect, but our spirit needs no education, no experience, no time to grown.  Our spirit is the artist, the painter, the sculpture, the writer.  If you will listen to, and follow the guidance of your spirit, you will begin to create your masterpiece.  Contrary to what you might think, or what you might have been told, there is an artist in each of us.  You may never paint a portrait, or carve a statue, or write an award winning novel, but that does not make you any less an artist.  Find your passion, and craft your passion.  A life that follows its passion, is a life fully lived.  As a great teacher once wrote, "Don't leave with your music still inside of you."

You may feel as though you have yet to start your work of art.  Don't worry yourself about time, time isn't real.  You begin with accepting those things that you are passionate about and allow the universe to orchestrate your steps.  Acknowledging that you have a calling is the first step.  Accepting the fact that you have a mission is a good first step.  Desiring to walk in what you were created to do, is a monumental fete, and it is one that we are all going to have to decide on.  There really is no such thing as a blank canvas or piece of paper.  Truth be told, the painting is already done.  The book is already written.  What you need to do is allow it to manifest itself in your life.  It is time that you allow life to be created in front of you.  Get out of the way, and allow things to happen, the way they need to happen, and know that goodness will follow. You are an artist.  It's time that you accept this fact, and walk it out.  Your canvas may appear to be empty, but it's not.  Your words may seem insignificant, but they aren't.  You are everything you were meant to be, and now is the time to let it all out.  Create your masterpiece and experience the joy of life.

One step forward, but two steps back. It's still a good thing.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/45877352@N03/4237896953
Picture it, you've finally made the decision to move forward on your life's quest, and bam, you get knocked back a few steps.  Fear sets in, doubt abounds, and you wonder why in the world did you even think you could do this crazy thing.  Sound familiar?  Hey it happens.  It's happened to me, it might even have happened to you.  There's bound to be someone you know who this has happened to.  The key is not to focus on the two steps back, but rather rest in the fact that you at least took the first step.

The absolute key is to "REST" in the fact that you decided to move ahead with your dreams.  No one ever said that life was going to be free of obstacles.  No one implied that everything was always going to be a bowl of cherries.  The true definition of an overcomer is one who won't quit even in the face of failure.  I've failed more times than I'd like to admit, but I'm still standing, and if you're reading this, then you're standing as well.  Today, I want you to simply rest, and know that all of your steps have been ordained, and you are on the right path.  It matters not whether you have failed in the past, whether you have taken a few steps back, but rather you have made the decision that you are going to continue to move forward and never stop going after those things that are in your heart to do.

I've questioned many of the choices I've made in life.  I've been asked many times if there is anything I would change.  The honest answer is no.  Everything I've gone through, everything I've experienced, has gotten me to the point in life where I am at right now, and this is the moment I was always intended to be.  I've learned some valuable lessons during my journeys.  Some lessons have been hard to handle, while others have been an absolute joy.  No matter the outcome of any of our endeavors, there is a lesson to be learned, and once you have learned that lesson, you can move on to the next phase of your journey.  Here's the problem that most people have:  they quit too soon.  At the first sign of trouble, they high tail it out of there, and simply quit.  Quitting is never an option, not if you want to realize your dreams.  It's easy to tell someone to not stop, after all, you're not the one going through the trials.  But trust me, stopping is not the answer, and if you will simply continue to take those baby steps forward, eventually you are going to get to the place of absolute joy and happiness.

Let's for a moment take a step back.  Think back a few years, and look at you now.  My guess is you are in a far different place then you were back then.  You have grown, matured, and in so many cases turned the corner.  Certainly there will be times when you may feel you are simply treading water, waiting for all hell to break loose.  But it is those times of stagnation that many lessons are learned.  Let's be honest, if you hadn't gone through the fire, how will you ever appreciate the beauty of your life right now?  We tend to focus on the two steps we have fallen back with, and not on the fact that at least you took the first step.  You are so more advanced in the things of life then you might be giving yourself credit for.  Once again, just look at where you are at, verses where you were.  Life is a journey of discovery, and there is no one who has not discovered something about themselves along the journey of life.  Now you might not always like what you have learned about yourself, but let's face it, you stilled learned.

We all desire that break through.  We're all looking for that period of rest.  Not everyone is going to find it at the same time, but if you will not give up you will find it.  I've been struggling with a few things as of late, and just now have I finally figured out that I have always had what I was looking for.  I just needed to accept a few things, and poof, there it was.  I will say that no matter what you might be experiencing, things are going to work out.  No matter what you might be thinking, things will begin to clarify.  Set the intention that no matter what you might think you see on the horizon, what is actually going to happen is what was meant to happen.  If you will cut yourself free from the cords of expectation, and instead focus on the real you, I promise you things will change.  Your journey forward is just that, a journey forward.  Texas has some crazy highways, and often to get somewhere you need to make u-turns.  These u-turns were designed specifically to get you to your destination without having to worry about others around you.  If you have ever driven down here, you'll know what I'm talking about.  Anyway, don't worry about a u-turn in your life.  Yea you might think that you're loosing ground, but in actuality you are exactly where you need to be, and you are in fact taking the easiest route to your destination.

Here's the bottom line, take that first step.  If you will take that leap of faith, then the faith that motivated you in the first place, will be the faith that will move you forward, even in the face of a set back.  Allow faith to guide you.  Allow faith to inspire you.  Allow faith to shape you and mold you.  I fully understand that there are times when fear will stop you in your tracks.  I hate being in a darkened room not knowing what is lurking around the corner.  What I try to do is bring the light into any situation, and we all know that light overcomes the darkness 100 percent of the time.  If you will allow life's light to be your guide, you will always have a clear path to your destiny.  Open your heart, clear your mind, and know that one step forward is always going to be better then no step at all.   You have all that you need to step into the greatness of your existence.  Take the first step my dear friends, and watch as life begins to explode with all the possibilities you have always thought about.

Are you a Pied Piper?

http://www.flickr.com/photos/8362215@N03/2853418424
Merriam-Webster defines a Pied Piper as a charismatic person who attracts followers, also a musician who attracts mass.  In addition, a Pied Piper is also a leader who makes irresponsible promises.  Now if that isn't going from one side of the spectrum to the other, I don't know what is.  Most everyone has heard of the Pied Piper from Hamelin.  The dude with a multi-colored outfit who uses his magic flute to rid the City of Hamelin of its rat problem, which many feel was the start of the plague.  I don't want to focus on the epidemic, rather what this person did and how he did it.  The question might arise as to why am I writing about this?  I was meditating the other day and I thought about life in general, and how we are faced with so many issues on any given day. Some of our issues are tiny, and some are huge, at least we see them as huge.  Many people have used the Pied Piper in their writings.  Johann Wolfgang von Goeth (a person who I quote quite often in my books), the Brothers Grimm, and also Robert Browning.  Now each of these renowned authors had various reasons to reference this character, but what I want to focus on is the significance of this person's beliefs.

If we are ever going to be in our rightful place we have to start believing that we are deserving of being in our rightful place.  If we are ever going to accomplish our dreams, then we have to believe in those dreams.  If we are ever going to do something great, we have to know of our greatness.  One doesn't need a magic flute in order to do something magical or great.  One need only believe, and act upon those things that are in their heart.   The Pied Piper had his magic flute, but he also had a knowing of what that flute could do, and he used it for its designed purpose.  There are tons of charismatic people, but how many truly believe they can change humanity?  There are tons of outstanding musicians, but how many really believe that music can tame the savage beast?  Sadly, there are many leaders as well who make all kinds of promises with zero intention of ever keeping those promises.  I for one am very leery of those kind of leaders.  This all being said, what I want you to do is look at your dreams, your visions, your feelings, and thoughts, and add that "magic flute" to all of them.  Now I know that this flute is a metaphor, but just for a moment lets looks at all the magic flutes we have, and why they are so important to what you want to accomplish in life.

Spirit would never have given you dreams if the intent was to have you walk away from them, fail in trying to achieve them, or simply make it so impossible that you gave up on them.  If you have a dream, you must believe that you are able to realize them, too completeness.  Dreams are going to fall in line with your abilities, with your true personality, with who you are.  You will never, and should never change who you are in order to accomplish your dreams.  I've seen people scolded in life and told that they need to change their attitude, that their personality needs adjustment.  That, to be totally blunt, is Bull Shite.  Spirit created your personality, the moment you were created.  Stop trying to be something you're not.  I don't mean to sound harsh, but we have allowed people to warp our minds with all kinds of things that don't apply to us.

I have dreams that have yet to be manifested, but that doesn't mean they are any less real.  I have dreams that may seem too big, but that doesn't make them any less real.  I still have dreams that to some degree frighten me due to the grandness of them, but I won't give up on them, and you should never ever give up on yours.  There were many people in Hamelin who didn't believe what the Pied Piper promised to do.  It got so bad that they refused to pay him so as legend has it he used his pipe and took all the children.  Now this story, true fiction, is very much real in as much as the Piper used his magic, and that should encourage you to use your magic.  Remember, we were created to create.  We, all of us, in either this life, or another, have always been intended to have it all.  We were created to walk in blessings, walk in love and light, walk in absolute serenity.  How many people can say that they have done all of this?

The Pied Piper knew what he could do, and he did it.  What you have to do is know what you can do, and do it.  What we don't do, sadly,  is believe that we can do it all.  We are limited in our beliefs because we have been conditioned to only believe certain things, and if your desires, your dreams, your hopes fall outside of what is considered normal, or even possible, then you are foolish for going after these things.  It's time to put what others think aside, and pursue those things you know.  Your heart, the center of your being, knows all, feels all, and believes all.  It does all these things because it is attached to spirit, and spirit is who created you, and created you for a specific purpose.

I want to encourage you to find your magic.  We have gotten away from our joy because we have walked away from our magic.  We have slipped away from our happiness because we have walked away from our magic.  We have settled for second best because we have walked away from our magic.  Do you really think that we have experienced all the goodness life has to offer?  If I were a betting man I would say that only a very small percentage of the world's population is walking in absolute joy.  Fewer are experiencing total happiness.  I, just like you, fall prey to worry, to bouts of doubt, and to feelings of sadness.   What I have learned to do is see me the way spirit sees me.  When I doubt I remind myself that I am that I am.  I am the governing power in this world, and all that spirit has, I have.  My magic flute is in my procession, and I intend to play it with all my might.

So, are you a Pied Piper?  Will you use all that you have,  to do what you were intended to do?  There comes a time when only you can make the decision to be the real you.  Don't you think it's time that the world be introduced to the real you, the authentic you, the over-the-top great you?  I encourage you to walk with your head high, and without regard to what might be going on around you, walk in the knowledge that you have a magic flute, and you will never again fall victim to those who no longer wish to move forward toward their dreams.  Play your merriest of songs, and watch as others follow you.  Play that magical flute and see others flock to your inspiration.  Sound a new song and never doubt that you will change the face of humanity with your melody.  As one of my favorite authors once said, don't leave with your music still in you.  Reach my friends, and know that you will succeed.
