Look into my eyes!

It's often said that the eyes are a look into one's soul.  At other times we dare people to look into our eyes to see if we are not serious about something.  What I want you to do this beautiful day is look into my eyes, and know that what I am about to share with you is absolute truth.  Today is nothing more than encouraging you to take that first step, to dare to dream, to know the truth about your greatness.  Today is nothing more than my attempt to lift you up to your rightful position in this universe, a position that has been ordained for you since the beginning of time.

Undoubtedly these last few months, if not this past year, has been a challenge for many people.  What we thought was normal has been tossed out, and many are experiencing the "New" normal, whatever that might be. We have had to learn to live, or should I say attempt to live outside the norm.   People have been stretched to the point of breaking by this rule, or that restriction.  Their lives have been turned upside down by closed schools, stay at home orders, and don't get me started on the controversies surrounding how and when to wear a mask.  It's time to take a nice deep cleansing breath, and realize that all of this is just an illusion.  I know many are going to think me crazy for saying that, but just hear me out, and see if you don't walk away with a different mindset.

If you see your self as insignificant, as just a mere mortal, then yes, maybe all of this stuff is not an illusion.  If however, you see yourself as something more significant, as that Creative Being, powered to create, then this is most assuredly an illusion, and you can ignore most of what others have let bother them for months.  The key to survival in these trying times is quite simply recognizing who you really are.  When those around you are all claiming that the sky is falling, will you stand your ground?  When countless others are feeling lost, desperate for relief, will you stand in your power and acknowledge that you have nothing to worry about?  The old adage that you have to learn to crawl before you can walk, and walk before you can run is so true.  No one is going to jump out of the gate and take control of situations until such a time as they become aware of their true nature.  One cannot take control until they believe that control is really theirs to own.  I am just as prone to looking at situations and allowing them to dictate my actions, even when I know that those actions may not be in my best interest.  We will fall prey to what we see, even when we know better.  We are after all human, and we have been conditioned to believe that as humans we are subject to what is happening around us.  The important fact to remember is that we are not just mortal, we are spirit beings.  Our conception of who we really are is tried each day by those things that are happening around us.  Try as we might to rise above it all, we do find ourselves in a constant battle  of right or wrong, real or unreal.

I endeavor each and every day to remind myself of my true nature, my true essence.  I state without equivocation that "I am that I am."  I attempt to live on this side of infinity, and as an infinite being, I know that I have no limits.  This might sound completely ludicrous to some, but to those who have tapped into the reality of who they are, then this is as normal as normal can get.  Do I fail at times? Of course I do, and there are times when I let what is happening around me affect me in not so good ways.  If I find myself slipping into worry, if I find myself doubting, I know that I have drifted away from living on this side of infinity.  Let me be clear, we have no limits.  You may not believe that, you may not be living that, but the truth of the matter is that we have no limits. We have to get to the point where we finally say "to hell with what others say or think", and pick up the mantel of being immortal.  Those people who think we are crazy for stating what we believe, are the very same people who are being tossed about by every form of distraction out there.  My dear friends it is time to take your rightful place in the universe.  It is time that you draw a line in the sand and say no more.  No more will you let what others say dictate your actions.  It's time to say that no more will you allow what others do dictate your actions.  It's time to tell the naysayers that no matter what they may feel, what they may say, what they may be doing, that you are not going to be a slave to what they say is normal.

Sheep will blindly follow the leader, and if that leader decides to go over the cliff, well then over the cliff they will go.  We are not sheep who are required to blindly follow the leader.  So what if you are known as, or called, the Black Sheep.  I kind of wear my uniqueness as a badge of honor.  In conversations I always tell people that I'm weird.  I tell them I'm a little crazy.  Now crazy to me means I'm not willing to blindly follow those who have no clue as to their true nature.  I'm OK with being a little weird.  I'm OK with being a little crazy.  Crazy and weird is what keeps me young, and staying young means that I will never loose that faith that we all had as children, when we knew that all off our needs would be met.

Are your eyes filled with life, or are they empty due to concern, due to doubt, or filled with fear and worry? Look into my eyes and let me share with you why you are incredibly talented, incredibly gifted, and oh so special.  We may be challenged at times, we may fall into doubt and worry, but this is only temporary.  When you can grasp your significance, you will leap into a new reality, and in this new reality, you will be catapulted to your rightful place.

Allow me to end with this, and hopefully this will end any doubt as to your true nature:  you are here in this moment to change humanity.  This world needs what you have, and what you have is incredible.  What you have to offer is incredible.  When you begin to walk in a full understanding of who and what you are, you will unleash to the rest of humanity an awareness.  You will be showing others just how grand life can be, and when you change one heart, you will begin a cycle of changing humanity one life at a time.  I encourage you to take a moment to simply thank your creator for placing you here in this moment.  There are no coincidences in life.  Things happen for a reason, and if you can accept that the Universe is perfect, then all things are perfect whether you see it right now or not.  Accept your greatness. Stand in your power.  Walk with confidence.  What I long to see in your eyes is that greatness, that power, and that confidence.  Believe me when I tell you that it is there. It is most assuredly there.

Unruly Heart

http://www.flickr.com/photos/51035555243@N01/49292302458
We are who we are.  We were created as we are.  Nothing that anyone says, or may think about you, will change who you are.   A loving heart, an unruly heart, a heart that has been broken or tarnished, is still a portion of you.  What I want to do today is help you recognize the importance of you.  What I want to do today is help you love you more.  What I really want to do today is encourage you to accept all that you are, and realize you are you for a reason.

There's all kinds of things we do that others will not accept or understand.  There are ways that we will act that will send people over the edge.  Where encouragement needs to come in is to help you understand that all of this is ok.  What you do, what you say, how you feel, it's all part of the real you.  There's no reason to explain it, there's no reason to defend it.  With each segment of society we have those who will understand things, and those who even when given proof of something, will still walk away in denial.  What you have to focus in on is you.  There are too many times where we feel as though we have to apologize for something.  We have apologize for believing one way.  We have to apologize for the things we like, for the  things we dislike, for those things that sometimes we just don't understand.  What I need you to understand today is that you never have to apologize for being the real you.  You never have to apologize for walking in those things you were created to do.

When anyone takes a stand to be themselves they sometimes risk the chance of standing out like a sore thumb.  Being authentic is not always being normal, at least not in the eyes of many in our society.  Fear of retaliation from someone who simply doesn't understand you is a real thing.  Sadly, this fear is what stops many people from fulfilling their destiny as they have allowed others to talk them out of what they were meant to do.  Don't get me wrong, destiny is destiny, and I'm one who believes that you will get to the end game, no matter what life throws at you.  That being said, why not do all things in this lifetime, and not wait to the next one to complete the cycle?  There are situations in this life, there are people around us in this life, that we simply don't understand.  Does that make things, or them wrong?  I think not, and it's time that we accept differences in people, and in situations.

There's all kinds of people out there who think differently.  These thoughts, these beliefs, are a product of their upbringing.  Different societies have evolved differently due to circumstances, does that mean they are right, and we are wrong?  Do we accept these differences, or do we discount them, and claim that our way is the only way?  There are countries where they have been taught to eat their big meal of the day in the middle of the day and not late at night, are they right or wrong?  There are groups of people who say the sabbath is on Sunday, while others believe it's Saturday, whose right and whose wrong?  For every up there's a down, and for every right, there's a left.  The time has come to accept differences, and the time has come to ignore those people who refuse to accept others because they just might be a little different than themselves.

I've often used the analogy of fitting a square peg into a round hole when it comes to fitting into society.  I refuse to morph into something I am not simply to fill someone else's expectation of me.  I refuse to give up on what I believe simply because it may be contrary to what others think or believe.  If you desire authenticity, then you need to be the real you, the authentic you, and not accept what others may say or may think about you.  I do understand how difficult it can be to take a stand.  Being the oddity is not always the preferred place to be in, but in reality it is the only place you should want to be in.  There are plenty of examples of people who have done things their own way, and plenty of people who have followed along blindly, only to miss what is really meant for them.  Don't be that person who settles for what others feel is best for you, only settle for those things that you know are best for you, for those things that are meant for you.

When I came out I was so worried what others might say or think.  I had gone a lifetime of not being true to me.  That "not being true" only brought pain, doubt, and a whole lot of confusion.  There is such freedom when one decides to be true to themselves.  It really doesn't matter what others say and think, it's not their life, it's yours.  If the Creator of the Universe desired for everyone to be the same, then we wouldn't have differences.  There's something truly amazing when we accept our differences.  There is beauty in difference.  There is power in acceptance.  I know I may be beating a dead horse, but even if you have what other's might describe as an "Unruly heart", meaning different than someone else, that doesn't make you imperfect, or any less amazing.  I think some of the most spectacular people ever walk to the beat of a different drum.  After all, a lot of things have come about because people thought outside the box.

I want to encourage each of you to accept your differences.  I want to encourage you to accept that not everything in life is black or white.  Various shades of gray is what brings about change, it brings about growth, and it brings out of people what is best about them.   No matter what we do, what we are, there will always be detractors out in front of us.  They will believe one thing, and anything contrary to what they believe obviously must be wrong, in their eyes anyway.  Don't allow these people to dictate your actions, your feelings, or your desires.  Authenticity is what you need to walk in, and that authenticity is what makes you who you are.  I might not always recognize one's authenticity, but once it is brought out for all to see, I have no other choice but to accept it.  If I expect people to accept me, why right do I have not to accept them?

I might have an "Unruly Heart", but that makes me me.  You might not be what other's expect, or want you to be, but that is why you are special and unique.  Unruly doesn't mean bad, it doesn't mean wrong, more often than not it simply means misunderstood.  Don't worry if people misunderstand you, it only means they really don't know you.  When one makes judgements about another person it is often because they haven't the maturity to fully grasp that differences are not bad, they are simply reality.  Stand tall in your unruliness.  These are the things that make you special, and being special is what is the best part of you.

Tiny steps, tiny steps, tiny steps.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/19779889@N00/49399687848
You can go charging in like a bull in a China Shop.  You can stand still with no forward momentum.  You can take a giant leap, not really knowing what is going to happen.  You can take tiny steps, for even a little forward momentum is better than no momentum at all.  What I want to do today is put your mind at ease.  What I want to do this morning is re-assure you that taking your time, isn't always the wrong way, even when others are telling you to simply just do it.

We have a tendency to think that what is good for the goose is also good for the gander.  Well, that's not always the case, and it certainly isn't the case when you are dealing with apples, and not oranges.  Everyone's life is on a different path.  Certainly everyone's path is leading toward their destiny, but everyone's destiny is going to be different, and because of that, everyone is going to do it at different times, in different ways, and in different directions.  Let  me stop here, and say this:  don't confuse caution and fear.  Being cautious about what you are doing is not a bad thing.  Caution shows you are aware, you are thinking, and yet you are still moving.  Fear on the other hand is nothing more than a mind trick.  It is there to stop you in your tracks.  Often fear is nothing more than worry taken to a higher level, and you and I both know that fear and worry has never been a friend you want walking along side of you on any journey.

When I speak of tiny steps I'm not being descriptive.  What I simply mean is take your time, be patient, and by all means keep your eyes on your own path.  I liken it to walking in snow or on an icy slippery walk way.  If you foolishly just run like mad, chances are you are going to wind up on your butt.  If you are on a strip of ice, and you're simply looking all around you and not focused on what is right in front of you, you're going to wind up falling on your arse again.  Tiny steps in its simplest terms means don't outrun God.  Yes we have the mind of God in us, but that doesn't mean we are the almighty.  We can be lead by our spirit, but who do you know that lives by the spirit 100 percent of the time.  I'd like to think I try, but I am human, and I know better than to make that claim.  When we do things in God's timing, more often than not, all else being equal, we are going to find success.  When we outrun God, well the outcome is generally a little different, a tad bit more difficult, and it certainly is filled with stuff we might rather not deal with.

God's timing might not always be how we want it, but it is always in God's perfection.  God's timing might not always be without delay, but it's always perfect.  There have been plenty of times in my life when I have accepted God's timing, and of course there have been those times when I though I knew better, and better turned out to be anything but.  I say these things not to discourage you, but rather to let you know that you can never change the perfection of God, so why try to reinvent the wheel?  As children, new born babes, you didn't leap out of your crib and run the four minute mile.  You had to learn to crawl, then walk, then run.  I have some big dreams ahead of me, but I know I need to time things out.  I need to make sure I do things in accordance with the Creator's plans, and not just my own.  Yes we have been given direction, and we have been shown what can be, but what can be still needs to be in God's perfect timing if you want to enjoy the fruits of your labor.

There are people who acquaint tiny steps with inactivity.  There are those who feel that if they are not moving ahead at warp speed then somehow they are missing out.  Nothing wrong with warp speed if you are following all that God has shown you, and it certainly is possible to have it all traveling faster than light if you are traveling toward your true destiny.  Problems arise when you foolishly ignore obvious signs, and move ahead, again caution is not a bad thing.

Why am I saying all these things today?  Here's why: your true destiny is too important to play games with.  Your future is too important to be played with.  I get how passionate we can get when we talk about our great loves and desires, in regards to why we are each here.  I get how incredibly excited we get when we dream about what we are going to do.  Why would you want to jeopardize your future just because you were unwilling to wait out the perfect timing go God?  Nothing is more important then you walking in your destiny, and nothing will screw it up faster then trying to outrun God.  I've outrun God many times in the past, and I can say without equivocation, it was a mistake.  I've had to pick up more pieces of broken dreams simply because I was unwilling to do it the right way, in the right time.  Learn from my mistakes, and don't make the same mistakes.

Taking a tiny step is better than no step at all, but tiny steps will keep you from falling down and going boom.  I may look funny taking tiny little steps as I try to traverse the patch of ice, but those tiny steps are still on a path, and when I get to the end, I can say I made it.  Timing is everything, and perfect timing is what we have been promised if we will simply listen to our heart, listen to our spirit, and listen to God.  It might now always be the way you want it, or thought it would be, but it will be worth it in the end.

Every now and again tiny steps work.  Every now and again we need to submit to Godly order, and when we do, we will be happy with the outcome.  Tiny, tiny, tiny steps are not a sign of doubt.  Tiny steps are not a sign of fear.  Tiny steps are simply steps that still lead to your destiny, steps that still lead you toward your passion, and steps that ultimately will lead the rest of humanity to their rightful place in life.

It's all elementary.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/30478819@N08/50319104956
One plus one equals two.  North, south, east, and west.  The opposite of hot is cold.  Up or down, left, or right.  This is all pretty elementary.  Well there are a few other things that are elementary, and today I just want to remind you of those things.  It seems to me that many, many people are having a very difficult time with life right now.  It might be financial issues, physical problems, emotional trauma.  It doesn't matter what you're going through, or what you are facing, there are a few things that if taken to heart will simplify your life, and in this simplification, make it a little bit more enjoyable each day.  So get your coffee, throw on a blanket, and let's see how elementary some things are.

I understand worry.  Most people if being completely honest would have to say they worry about something at least once a day.  Will you get to the next gas station before you run out of gas? Can you get to your appointment on time with all the traffic you are running up against?  Do you have enough sugar and creamer for your morning coffee, having forgotten to pick it up when you were just at the store yesterday?  Simple things to worry about, but worry is worry, and most of the time, worry changes nothing, at least in the natural.  I understand fear.  What happens when the boss calls you into the office to let you know that the company is closing and no one is going to be kept on?  Fear that what you always wanted will never come to fruition.  Fear isn't real, worry isn't real, but your amazing spirit is real, and it has something that fear and worry will  never have, immortality.

Immortality is forever.  As tough as a concept of infinity or immortality may be to understand, in its simplest form, it is so so elementary as it pertains to you.  You are immortal, you are infinite. Yes we occupy a mortal body, and yes this body is going to give out at some point in the future.  What needs to become elementary to you is you are not your body, you are not your possessions.  You are so much more than what may be happening around you.  Immortality and infinity, or at least your understanding of these two very important elements needs to become as elementary to you as one plus one equals two.  There are tons of things in this life that we never question.  We never question that the sun is going to rise in the east and set in the west.  We're never going to questions that there are 24 hours in a day, and seven days in the week.  Well we need to get to the point where we no longer question our true nature, our true essence, and our true infinite self.

I've been meditating on a few things over the last few weeks.  I've found myself circling back around to a lot of why's.  Why this, why that?  Why is the world in such turmoil at the moment?  Why do I believe one way and so many others believe another way?  Beliefs are as varied as the number of stars in the midnight sky, but each belief is built upon elementary truths, or at least truths as we see it.  I have found myself being drawn to some of the words that were written thousands of years ago, but are just as valid, just as true, and just as important today as ever before. Christ said that he was the Alpha, the Omega.  He said he was the beginning and the end, and that he had always been and will always be.  He didn't say these things so we only thought of him in this light, but that we would see ourselves this way.  Forever is a long, long time.  Forever has no beginning and no end.  You are just as much forever as Christ, but do you believe that?

We keep hearing about this True Awakening that is going on around us.  Now there are some who feel this awakening is simply about world governments, and financial resets.  Others feel the awakening is likened to a spiritual event.  I think we are in a moment where we are being offered the golden ticket to movie that is going to show everyone what is important, and what is just needless filler.  Let's be real for a moment.  What is going to play out is going to play out.  If a reset is about to happen, it is happening because it has to.  We have walked away from those things that are truly important.  We have neglected to hold fast to what is really important.  Resets happen, not to harm, but rather to position us in the proper place where we need to be.  If you believe in the perfection of the Universe, then you need to know that God does not do anything contrary to the Creator's nature.  I'm convinced that a new emphasis is being placed on all of us coming to terms with our immortality, our infiniteness.  I'm convinced that the only way we are going to survive the turmoil happening around us is to hold fast to the "I am Presence" in our life.  For the past twelve months of so I have been unable to get away from a daily reminder that "I am that I am."  For a while I wasn't sure why this was such a presence in my life, but having been through the last few months of what is going on in the world, I can see clearly now why I was focused on this topic.

It is time to come to grips with the real you, the immortal you, the infinite you.  It is time to understand the "I am that I am" side of you.  It's easy to be tossed and thrown about by all the stuff out there today.  If you have not fully grasped the fundamental truth, the elementary truth of who and what you are, you will fall victim to turmoil, and the strife that is rampant in the world to day.  Why not take your immortality, your infiniteness for a ride today?  Why not enjoy the perfection of your design, and simply rest in the elementary truth of your greatness?  Some may be saying how dare we think so highly of ourselves.  Well those who think that haven't a clue as to their real selves.  We are great.  We are immortal.  We are infinite.  It's time to hold fast to these truths, and toss away all the falsehoods of the past.  When we fully understand our immortality, and yes it may take sometime to fully grasp it, but when we fully understand who and what we are, nothing will be able to dislodge you from your rightful place.  It is elementary my dear Watson, elementary indeed.
